Just got done rewatching this video for a third time.. Epic..
John Morris.. I too am retiring in Sept of 2021 and am planning on going to the Yukon and Alaska in 2022. Have a Super Tenere 1200.
Thank you for being willing to share your faith and your gratitude for God’s blessings. Amazing video and trip...thanks for sharing it.
A friend of mine and I made that trip in June of 1988 on two KLR 650s. Only we went to Inuvik first. Road to Tuk wasn’t built then. Top of the world and then entire Alaska loop to Homer. And back to Albuquerque. Once in a lifetime trip. Thanks for your great video Brought back great memories.
I did that trip to Tuk. in 1994, it was (for me) a once in a lifetime experience. I did get to stay at Grubins Oil Camp when I was there in Tuktoyaktuk for a week. I got to see all the animals that live up there except white (Polar) bears. The sunrise lasted for days as well as the sunset. I was glad you mentioned the feel of the ground, I had told friends it was like walking on a soft mattress. Then the northern lights were awe inspiring on my way back southbound. I felt truly blessed with that opportunity. I feel you did too. I shot a lot of 35mm film, old school stuff now. THANKS for sharing.
Wow. It took me forever to make my 4 minute video. Thank you for taking me on your ride - only 2 hours 19 min and 4 seconds for me -- and 29 days for you. I had an amazing trip. No flats, minimal rain, a couple of nice cold drinks, great scenery, no back pain and great memories. That was awesome!
Thanks for taking me on that journey Eddie. Not too many videos will keep me watching for over 2 hours! Must have taken you days to upload it. It takes a lot of guts and skill to navigate all that mud, rain and gravel for so long on a bike, all the way to the Arctic Ocean, tenting it no less. You must be tough as nails. Then I see you change two bike tires at your campsite using only the tools you took with you, that's hardcore. Alberta looked absolutely amazing on camera, I can only imagine the wow factor when viewed by the naked eye going along that river through Athabasca and Banff. I could never do this journey on my scooter as it doesn't do well on gravel, much less the mud slicks you had to get through, you had the right bike for the job and glad it served you well. Glad you made it back safe and sound and all in one piece. Thanks for the camping tips too, for cooking, and that wind shield you made was a great idea. I'm doing a 9 day camp/bike trip this summer (God willing) and got some great ideas. Anyone planning to bike to Alaska needs to watch this video so they know the kind of challenges they will meet, although they don't have to take every back country goat path like Eddie did! Cheers Eddie, great ride.
This is an absolutely amazing video. I can't believe more people aren't watching it. Maybe they're put off by the length in this year of clickbait and sound bites, but I'm loving it and I'm left with the feeling that I want to go do this ride thanks to you documenting it so well. Absolutely terrific!
I love how you mentioned the lupine and your desire to share that with some folks back home. This is one of the few Moto videos that embraces the natural world and even take some time to observe, understand and explain it. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and for sharing it with the world.
Thanks for the encouraging word Nolan. You are right about the length of the video. I should have made about a six or eight part series out of it. Editing video turns out to not be my passion and subsequently very time consuming. I condensed about 7 hours of recording down to what you see and just had to stop.
@@eddiehess6562 , don't change a thing. I'm thankful for what you did post. It's just terrific!
@@eddiehess6562 You only recorded 7 hours on the trip? I was wondering if you were turning the recording on for brief periods of just brought a lot of memory cards and recorded the whole thing. And, yes, editing is less fun than exploring!

I am Glad you included God in your Ride and video.
Who is the Manufacturer of your adjustable windshield? And would you recommend it?
Best Wishes from Montana! M.H.
How anyone can not enjoy this video is beyond me. I ride too. And felt like I was right along with you. Beautiful scenery and exploring is what motorcycle traveling is all about. Loved it.
Wow, you hooked me into the video for the entire length!
Awesome trip and videotography, thank you very much!
I took a trip from FL to CA and back on my 2003 Harley-Davidson. My dream now is to ride from Abilene TX to the Arctic Ocean. I loved watching your video. Good to see someone giving glory to God on a trip like this.
Hey, Remember that One Time? I live in Rising star , that’s about 50 miles from abilene and i found you trip to the arctic sea very interesting, have u got a route that you have looked at ? I hope u can do it ! and what kind of bike would you do it with ?
Gary Teague I haven’t planned a route yet. I’m interested in the Harley Pan America that is supposed to be coming out in a couple of years. I’m hoping to pick one up and then make the trip.
Hey, Remember, and Gary, I am in Austin, and thinking the same trip in 2020, I'll have 5 weeks vacation. Currently routing a course to Deadhorse ..... louis@bluebonnetwoodworks.com give me a shout and maybe share info. I am on a KLR 650.
Loved it. Thank you so much. I live in the UK but my wife and I rode the Dalton to Deadhorse on our KTM 990 in the summer of 2012. Watching this brought it back for us.
What an incredible journey you have shared with us... enjoyed watching every moment of it... Thanks for being a blessing and sharing... ride

Beautiful country thanks for sharing your adventure.
Thank you. This is an amazing video, an amazing adventure. Your video is very truthful. No posturing nor bragging. Very pure spirit of motorcycling. Thanks for the authencity.
Great video so far Eddie eventually I will watch all of it. Just stumbled across your video. What a grand journey! I am from Edmonton Alberta and appreciate the very nice comments you made on our province and people. I just bought a 2020 husky 701 this week and look forward to some great adventures like this. In 1991 I was scheduled to travel to Tuk with my father by vehicle. Sadly the night before our departure my appendix exploded and I could not make the trip. I vowed to one day make it there, and I believe my Husky will take me there one day! Cheers!
Thanks for documenting the journey!. Well done. I will be doing this next year from Hamilton Ontario to Tuktoyaktuk and now I know what to expect.
Wonderful video...really gives you the feeling of being on the road with Eddie. Loved how you showed long shots of highlights, but not too much. Really well done! I also really like your preference for dirt roads.
Also amen God is good. Hope to follow in your tracks if God allows me to live that long. wow what a great video thank you for the experience of traveling along with you.
I have your video playing in my office at work. Simply because I can't see nature from inside the building. The 2 hr long video is worth it. I hope to be able to do this one day.
Loved the simplicity of the video, the landscape, the music. Thank you for sharing. Please be safe.
NICE ONE!!! this summer I'm riding 3k miles from Minnesota to wasilla alaska....gonna do it in 4 days. 19 street glide special. God Bless and ride safe!!
U aint riding 3000 miles in 4 days ,on a bike ,not a chance ,750 miles a day, your dreaming
Two years. Whow time fly’s. I met you just after you got the Husky. I was riding my Suzuki DR650 . Don’t see many DUELSPORT riders around here but ya know what. I followed you home and we talked about an hour. You were telling me about this trip you were planning. Awesome to see you did it! I don’t ride much anymore.. getting older. I just subscribed to your channel and now I’m going to watch your trip. Thanks maybe I’ll see ya again like to hear your story!👍
Eddie - i appreciate you getting back with me & hope you have many more adventures & safe travels.

Thank you for the bright positive ride! I can't do long rides but you showed me places and experiences that make up for it. I'm from the Niagara Falls Canada area. I ride up the amazing Niagara Parkway following the Niagara river. I stopped as the river empties into Lake Ontario at Niagara-on-Lake.
Your video is a breath of fresh air...thanks!!!
Hi Eddie, just watched your entire video and just cannot imagine how you were able to do this by yourself. It is a very inspiring and beautifully put together film and great music too.
Very well put together video and ride.
Epic ride! Thanks for posting this. Some of these places I've been, and some I have yet to go, e.g. - Tuk. This gives me an idea of what to expect.
Thanks for sharing your ride. From other stories I read about the ride to Tuk, you were wise to run up there while the weather was dry.

great ride Eddie, good job on the video and narrating!
Woow , que buena aventura viviste amigo . Te envio bendiciones .
We made the trip to Alaska a matter of weeks before you were there. We had intentions of driving the Dempster to Tuk but decided not to at the last moment so your video at least lets me see what I missed (I don't regret not going). I had to laugh when you turned down the Campbell Hwy as we took that same route by VW station wagon, on the advice of a local that it was a good road. We drove this part on a Sunday and hit the construction zones while everyone was off and am amazed we made it through. My traveling companion Larry, who is my navigator and brother to the family we stayed with in Fairbanks, and I still talk about Ross River as well as that road. What a place! Thanks for the video and safe travels from Shedd, Oregon.
Thank you for this wonderful video for me as a armchair traveler ! I wish so badly to do the same ! But you did it ! Thank you for sharing.
Pure Awesomeness 👌. Excellent video, I really enjoyed watching it. I really enjoyed the last 3 seconds of it. As a Texan it means alot to finally get home after a long trip like that. I'm subscribed so keep the videos coming. God bless from S Texas 🙏

I appreciate your faith comments. I am 55 and am looking at doing some sort of ride this summer.
you can comment on God but living it is so much different. you don't need a badge or a club. try being inclusive and you will be much more of a god like human
Speechless ....
