I know the techniques I use may not be revolutionary and I'm well aware there are many more ways to revise than this, but as I say in the video, the clue is in the title, I'm talking about how I PERSONALLY revise! :)

Another few tips-I do AQA alevel Biology. Use Seneca (they have other exam boards and subjects) to help learn stuff, quizlet, mindmaps to summarise the topics and donât take CGP markschemes as the actual mark scheme for the exam use it as a guide
The textbooks for OCR A are rubbish but the cgp revision guide for OCR A is amazingggg- it literally follows the spec word for word. xx

I agree with you, I like biology but I don't understand what the questions ask me sometimes. I'm definitely going to try exam questions and buy a CGP book with exam questions and answers! Thanks x

Do you ever find it a bit overwhelming having 25 packs of flash cards which you have to revise and remember?
I do it on quizlet and like not seeing the weight make its seem less. If you see a large pack you think it's more. Plus quizlet tests you in different ways

were so lucky in my biology class cause for every module our teacher gives us a booklet of exam questions that we either do or in class or we are set for homework and itâs so helpful

I do Eduqas and the textbooks are awful. With the flash cards I would recommend printing off your exam board's specification so you know what to learn from the exam board themselves. Revision cards are also very good for micro-things (details) while many of the macro-things (basics) tend to stick in your mind anyway.

Would not recommend it at all unless you are very good at studying/ are smart.

Emma Carroll thank you! And good luck with GCSEs. High grades are not impossible, schools (well mine did) made it seem impossible to get a 8/9 and tbh I was shocked with the amount of people who achieved them! Donât let them patronise youâșïž youâll do wellâșïž

Jojo Jessop just do your best ! Iâve just done my mocks and tbh they donât matter so pls donât stress! Just do your best and by doing this youâll give yourself good foundations for the real GCSEs
@@cian4725 'year 12 mocks' - bit different to gcse mocks lmao. They do matter, since a lot of schools will use your grades in those mocks as predicted grades, which you put on uni applications~
H H here in Northern Ireland year 12 is GCSEs hahah my bad ! A Levels are year 13 and 14 here

Girl if you're interested check out OCR A level Biology A student books 1 and 2 by Pearson. I'm in year 13 awaiting the OCR A level biology A spec exams and I have been using those textbooks throughout my course. Had to buy them myself as my college equally didn't supply the best textbooks, but well worth the money in my opinion!
Can this advice also be applicable for GCSE biology and the other sciences?

esme Russell yes it does, at the end of year 13 you get tested on everything youâve covered throughout the two years

I'm an American viewer- can anyone explain why there a separate "exam boards"? In America, like with our AP classes, there's one test nationally.
Not everyone studies the same material. Different exam boards do different topics, books (English lit) and set pieces (music)

quite possibly the worst advice to give anyone, 10% of biology is fact recall most of it is applying your knowledge making stakcs of flashcards really arent the best
