He's right though France is his home as he brought up Lily and Jack there with Vanessa that was when he was happier. Sadly just didn't work out that way. I have no doubt Johnny will get back on track like is still doing

I have seen the film and was amazed at how brave it is! Johnny, of course, disappears into the role. He is a brilliant actor, an intelligent man and a compassionate human being. Also, so cool and charismatic, it’s disarming.

So he lived from 1998 till 2008 in france? Then LA? so his children went to school in france i guess
He only came back to the US because France wanted him to pay French taxes and he was already paying US taxes on his movies. He didn't really want to leave France, he just didn't want to pay double taxes, and France has very high taxes also.
We did not want him to move back to the US.

He had houses in France and LA at the same time. They went back and forth and had dual citizenship. They went to a private school that has an international program.
