- In Johnny Depp's latest series, ‘The Bunnyman Genesis’ (2023), an intriguing, silhouetted figure stands before four different, yet parallel, realms in the collection of mixed media prints: ‘Origins’, ‘Cosmic’, ‘Flowers’ and ‘Multiverse’. Layering each composition with varying textures, contrasting blocks of colour and confident mark-making, Depp has developed a body of work which demonstrates his expressive creativity. “Art is how I get out onto paper, canvas, whatever - the circus in my head. I paint what I feel more than what I see.”
Hand-signed by Johnny Depp, each artwork is made to order, uniquely numbered, and emboss stamped by hand with Johnny's personal mark of authenticity, The Bunnyman.

Describing your child’s drawings as “Beautiful scribbles” is such an artist thing to say. My sister is an artist, and she sounds the same when she talks about our nephews’ paintings. You can really tell Johnny adores his children ❤️

I had no idea the bunny man was from a dream. I had read someplace it was from a drawing his son did. Im so excited about this release and so inspired and from my soul delighted to see Johnny continues to soar. ❤
In the press it was said, it was from a kinda nightmare dream, ..his son had.
What I got out of it was his son made the figure drawing (wich Johnny later called it the Bunny Man) then later in life Johnny starts seeing the Bunny Man return in his dreams and then gave it the name Bunny Man@@KatharinaK117

I do believe the Bunnyman was, for that young man from Kentucky, a protector of sorts. On first glance, a child might be afraid, but Johnny had seen much scarier things in his young life. The Bunnyman was a source of comfort, support. ❤

I love this entire collection and the inspiration behind them. The Miami display is also stunning with the mixed media representation of Bunnyman with what appears to be textiles - I assume denim material from clothing Johnny has worn. The collection is stunning and unique and I love Johnny channeling his childhood experiences into art.♥️

I'm an artist too and I consider art, no matter which kind of, as the expression of ourselves, a beuatiful and intimate way to talk about...us, pour feelings. And the meaning of bunnyman is so important..It's like...an imaginary friend...or something who wanna protect you when you're uffering or in every bad moments of our life. A kind of protector...this, is the bunnyman for me...

Johnny Depp is and will forever be the most honest and humble man on this earth. His art is absolutely amazing . His talent as an actor is unique and untouchable by any other. I have been a fan of his from the start and will be forever in my 75 years noone can come close to his love of the arts and music. I don't have the means to own any of his art, but the elephant art that he gave to Ellen is my favorite due to my l9ve of elephants. God bless him in all his future accomplishments, truth and love forever in my heart❤ A million zillion stars would be my rating for his talent. ❤❤❤❤

Years ago, I saw a painting in impressionistic style and it was, when i watched it, like the points in the picture would dance. It was a man with a big hat and a pipe (?).

I had a similar dream as a child. There was a figure at the bottom of the basement stairs I called the burned man. It was a man who looked like he was charred completely black head to toe in a fire and I was afraid of him. “Don’t go down the stairs,” yes, exactly! My charred burned man was my brain’s way of processing the accidental burning of one of my dolls in our burn barrel when my mom took out the trash. I watched her burn -‘s turn black, helpless, and I thought my dolls were real. Traumatic for a little girl my age.

had a similar dream as a child and can understand his motivations. As a child I dreamed of someone I didn't know. he smiled at me... when I woke up I thought and looked for this person everywhere. I quickly wanted to dream about him again and suddenly I was in a house and a hallway and knew that I had never been there before. Suddenly there was a figure at the end that shocked me. I wanted to wake up and I did. In this moment I realized that this figure was made of iron or silver and couldn't move and I didn't have to be afraid. But it was like a warning somehow for me... it's crazy that I remember that again... it's been 30 years

I find it interesting that Johnny's "Bunnyman " dreams trickled down into Jack's imagination. I love the Bunnyman collection. My sister, who is a local artist (Lafayette, Indiana) did a series of bunny drawings but, hers were based around the stuffed bunny she had from childhood. They won an award and a pediatrician bought one for his office.
