  • Bayer Leverkusen Players Who Made the Club UNBEATABLE
    Since the 2011/12 season, Bayern has dominated the Bundesliga, and simply because of this fact, Bayer Leverkusen's triumph became the most important event not only for the team with a 100-year history, for whom it was the first league title, but also for German football itself! Everyone awaited and hoped for change; even in poor form, Bayern attempted to instill fear, but with the arrival of Xabi Alonso, everything changed. He joined a team on the brink of relegation from the Bundesliga, and in a short time, he transformed it significantly, achieving the incredible feat of changing the eternal "Neverkusen" to "Neverluzen". When you watch this video, Alonso's team's unbeaten streak in all tournaments reaches an incredible 48 matches. This is a record not only in Germany but also in all of Europe, and by the end of this season, if everything goes as planned, they will be able to call themselves the "New Invincibles." But beyond the coaching genius of the Basque manager, this success would not have been possible without the players, and the transformation he made with them deserves separate attention.

      Continue their dominance, might not be an invincible season but they will definitely show up.

    Xabi Alonso is the Napoleon of football, a genius tactician enjoying the complete trust, respect and dedication of his men.

      I hope he will continue to show progress with Bayer and in the next season keep this dominance not only in the Bundesliga, but in the Champions League too

      @@The18thAnniversary depends on your POV, for the French Napoleon is a Hero.

      I think he’s good at the developing and the first manager to use intelligent and technically gifted players in all positions. Something similar happened with Tiki Taka and Spains Golden generation of 2008-2012, which he was a part of.
      Players just never scouted for that attribute rather going for speed and dribbling.
      Xhaka,Wirtz, Palacios, Andrich, Hofmann… All midfield motors that always know the perfect pass to create more room and an opening.

    Robert Andrich is also one of the most important ones

    4:04 "the Albanian with a Swiss passport" ??? His parents are from Kosovo, but he is not even an immigrant. He was born in Switzerland and lived there until he moved to Germany when he was 20.

      Yep, he even has a pretty noticable Swiss accent when speaking German.

    Xhaka didn't come for free. We paid 15 mil. to Arsenal.

    The good thing is except for Florian they do have two good players for each position or players that could fill in different areas.. As Hincapié could play in the left as a Defender and as a winger, Tapsoba could play in the left of in the center covering for Tah, and Koussounou same thing .. Same thing happens up front with Boniface, Schick , Adli, Frimpong, Tela .. As seen when some of the players left to play for their countries in Africa .. Thus some players could be traded but the team will keep its identity …!!!!

    I think this team deserves to be called more than just the “Invincibles”, if they get the unbeaten treble. This would be a next level achievement

  • @Maxi_94
    @Maxi_94 Před 15 dny +2

    Boniface is 23 years old and is rocking a goal contribution every 65 minutes in his first Bundesliga season. Dude deserves a mention. 👏
    But overall Leverkusen is a great collective. I mean even a secondary player like Amine Adli is casually leading the Pokal scorer charts while Adam Hlozek just collected 3 assists in Frankfurt.
    I honestly see a 2nd year of Leverkusen dominance (at least domestically) ahead with Xabi Alonso and Flo Wirtz having already confirmed that they will stay. Bayern will certainly make some big transfers but it will take time to find cohesion for them and the new coach will be under immense pressure.

      Not downplaying anyone's importance, just I thought to highlight those who in my opinion put a lot of effort or progressed this season under Xabi Alonso. But I understand that it can be seen as downplaying importance of others.

    I cringed every time you said "Zabi" 😅 the beginning sound of his first name is a "sh" (like in shelter) but the rest was correctly pronounced

    • @ole_football
      @ole_football  Před 8 dny

      Still weird to pronounce his name in English, when my entire life back home we simply said Xabi as Khabi Alonso. Thanks for correcting anyway
