Hey, guys! This was my first live stream on CZcams... and it went great! Thanks so much for hanging out with me and asking such GOOD questions! I will definitely start doing more of these.
In this video, I started by talking about how to speak English confidently.... like how confidence is mostly in our head and usually has little to do with our actual abilities.
Anyhow, the conversation was great and kicked off an even better Q&A session where we talked about all kinds of things like:
-What to do when your friends make fun of your English
-How to find more motivation for learning English
-How to practice with native speakers
-Why you shouldn't freak out when you forget vocabulary
...and a whole lot more!

Thank you for posting this video. I came cross your channel few days ago, I have been watching your videos since. My personal experience on speaking English with confidence is that "focus on what you want to share, not the person who is/are listening". Remember mistake happens, not just for ESL learners but for native speakers as well. If you wait for the perfect time to speak in English with others, trust me that perfect time will never arrive, why not just go ahead and talk. You can only improve yourself by making mistakes. The more you talk, the better your spoken English gets. I guess this rule applies to anything you do in life. So just get start and don't wait, don't think too much about how many mistakes you may make, instead focus on what you are trying to say to people and make sure the message is clear enough, that is all you can do! Time will help you to improve. Thank you again for posting these videos and they change lives! Happy New Year!

I like the clarity and pronunciation when you speak, no matter how fast it is. I do believe that one can be confident only when he spends a certain amount of time in speaking the language.

Vos sos argentina. No puede ser que pronuncies tan bien español. Es la primera vez que escucho a alguien de USA sin acento. Me sorprendió tanto...tenés acento argentino, es más, porteño. Nadie se daría cuenta jamás que sos americana si estuvieras pasenado por acá. Te felicito, ojalá algún día yo pudiera hablar inglés aunque sea un 10% de lo bien que hablás vos español.

I found very good way to learn a language and I fully agree with you that traditional way of studying is waste of time and energy and worse more can destroy your motivation.
What is really need to do:
1) basic grammar to learn structure of a language
2) choose your topic which is interesting for you and read it with using google after some time you will learn vocabluary naturally, and you will able to read without it.
3) Watch videos and topics which you would like to watch in your native language.
Although, I still making mistakes and all people making mistakes even in their native language. But it mustn't be a goal.
The goal must be to communicate fluently and to make sentences well.
As push ups and pull ups still the best way to train your body, likewise speaking , listening and reading the best way to learn a language.
