    Thank you in advance.
    My View My Opinion, is a commentary podcast. Everything I share is my personal opinion and is NOT to be taken as a fact. I observe public events, etc. and comment on them.

    FAQ:
    Who are you and what is your name?
    My name is My View My Opinion (MVMO) & I am a Podcaster, on CZcams. Due to safety concerns on the internet, I do not share my personal information anymore and I ask that others respect this. Also, I'm against the cult of personality & the promotion of self. I have no desire to "make a name" for myself. That's odd in this day & time I know, because most strive for this. Too many folks make themselves the center of attention instead of helping others first & allowing the information they share to be the focus of folks attention. Many crave applause, acceptance, & "fans & followers". I believe in letting the information take center stage.
    Why don't you show your face?
    My CZcams channel is host to my podcast. However, I do make on camera appearances from time to time & have many times in the past- as this is how my channel started, with me on camera talking about whatever. And for those who always ask, yes, I am a black woman, LOL!!!!

      @velidabreakfield8419 Black govt officials do tend to mule too much for the donor class and then get left out to dry.

    I agree with you. As controversial as it sounds, often times the black community is plagued by juvenile thinking; lack of critical thinking in favor of reactionary outrage that goes nowhere. The grifters meanwhile stay grifting, the community remains stagnant, and politically we are not taken seriously. You have consistently been a voice of reason and thoughtful analysis MVMO.

    💯 spot on! Corruption is corruption. Fani got a life line with this judgment. As a black man I agree with your thoughts regarding our community.
    Now, I don’t think we can get away with things are fellow humans can. However, we or no one should be able to get away with corrupt things, Period!! Stay on the right side!!! I felt that! Thanks for your commentary!

    I totally agree with you. Boyce Watkins is a person that I despise, everything is about race and money. Money is his god .

    Refreshing talk for renewed thinking... Sometimes chaffing produces a really bountiful harvest. Pulling back the layers of offence is often necessary for growth. Appreciated this podcast.

    16:24 Ok u said it again. A lot of them, including Yvette, have acquired a NICE bag jumping in the “race” lane. Some call it pocket watching but we noticed Alllll those donations.

    • @hailai1230
      @hailai1230 Před 3 měsíci

      What bag and who funds it? NAARC and NCobra are funded by The Mac Arthur Foundation but who funds Yvette Carnell if you please?

    • @djbowus
      @djbowus Před 3 měsíci

      @@hailai1230all the donations she gets. She doing a good five figures a month with donations n subscriptions. They tried to say white folks funding her, they are not. They would have been proved that if it was true. I also think Dr Kevin cosbys church supports her

    Great commentary. Lots of gems in here. I do also believe Yvette has gotten too distracted by these “social media” beefs and such. I was listening pretty regularly leading up to 2020 election but since it’s felt like Yvette has lost her way a bit…or perhaps her vision wasn’t clear and she’s still making her way toward it. Still a supporter of hers/ADOS and appreciate her elevation of this convo for me and others. As someone who works in DEI, your assessment of the race relations dynamic was both confirming and enlightening. I have slowly been attempting to transform out of this space but it’s taking a little more time than I’d want. However, in this work, I notice sometimes the people with the greatest self-esteem/identity problems that push the race card the hardest, in addition to those seeking money and clout. It’s like a blinder for them to facts/truth. And I say this as someone who does see the element of racism in almost everything but I also recognize that it’s significance varies from circumstance to circumstance.

    Thank you MVMO for sharing your thoughts with us.
    During the Jimmie Cater era, he appointed Claude Anderson as the Federal Chairman for commission of governors for southeast states. Dr. Anderson only speaks on reparation for the African-American community when he is interviewed. The interview was conducted by Boyce Watkins.

    I love Yvette, but when she began to openly disparage Black Leaders like Dr. Claud Anderson I had to side-eye her a bit. It’s fine to disagree; however, sometimes the vitriol is abrasive.

    2:27 ok now that u said it, i didn’t want to say it in my comment on the other post about Yvette. I was an original ados member in NC. One of the reason i broke camp was the beefing! U haven’t the slightest what it was like behind scenes. I still believe in her reparations work, but…it was a lot. I used to tell them we ain’t have to fight any white folks, we do well at taking ourselves down. A lot of the original members believe she is a grifter. I don’t believe that. But many do. And i can see why they believe that. Those old shows were EVERYTHING! Laying the case for a racial with gap Before the infighting and fights with Tariq.

    I agree 100 percent on Preachers needing to work instead of just living off of our money. If people gave me 10 percent of their income every week, I would be rich too. I don't see them taking that money and spending it on their own congregation when many sitting there are in need. AND that changed when Jesus was raised from the dead. He said now You are the temple of the Lord as He said He would only enter temples made without hands. No YE not that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit AND HE said just as you have done it to the Least of these My brethren you have done it unto me. I give and help those in need and feel guilty when I give it to someone who has 3 cars and a mansion when there are so many that need food or a bill paid. I don't follow preachers, sorry. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. God Bless

    The reparations discourse is one I don’t engage in, not because I don’t feel that it’s productive. We have to stop relying on the oppressors to finally admit to their crimes. Maybe I’m wrong to feel this way but we have no one in authority that has the capability to overturn centuries of oppression with money.

    1:49 thank you for giving Dr Darity his flowers! A group of us met with him and his wife (lovely lovely lady) back in 2018. If u ever get a chance to speak with him he is ooooooomazing. Have u read his book? I remember in2016 when Yvette and irami (her old cohost) first introduced their audience to him. It was a flat out face crack. Her, Antonio, and irami took dr Darity’s, and others work, and connected the dots perfectly. I think when Yvette is on, u can’t stop her, but like u said that other stuff will always stop the bag.
