    Jay Leno is too cool. He has such a passion for these old cars and bikes. It is cool to see that he actually drives them and not just for show, and lets others enjoy them too.

    • @gg5115
      @gg5115 Před 5 lety +4

      You can see he's worried a little each time he lets mustache guy drive one. And I think if it was 'up to him', he wouldn't let others drive, and would only drive it himself once, or just enough to know one is road worthy.
      But he realizes that what he is doing here is bigger than himself, and the cars exist to be driven. Like he hardly owns them, but is just the current caretaker of history. Jay is so cool.

      SinriWoah LIVE!. I love seeing Jay's steamers flash off. The running fuel is Kerosene (almost diesel) but the pilot and starting fuel is....wait for it....gasoline dripping through an open tube and faucet.
      Back in that day, gasoline was 30 octane so it went poof if you looked at it crosseyed. This is most likely 87-93 octane, and much harder to ignite, till it goes

      SinriWoah LIVE!. Yep.
      Gasoline was originally a waste product of Kerosene distillation (in things (columns) resembling moonshine stills). Thus it was mostly hexane and heptane (C6 and C7) and at best 30-40% octane (C8) and neptane. Very very dangerous, and transported on wagons and trains in wooden barrels.
