Great video. I’m realizing both are needed for if/when either go down for repairs.

Some spots you can’t get a dumpster in with a truck / trailer. We we’re almost 85 feet with truck trailer and dumpster on the ground. .
Plugging and unplugging the winch you will break the pins if you are in a hurry. Get a wireless remote for winch and hydro.
Truck less walking it doesn’t sound like much but when you are moving 4-5 dumpsters a day it adds up.
If you have or going to get a trailer.
Get the 1ga jumper cable connectors to keep your batteries charged

Great video! Appreciate the info. Why don't you ever talk about where you eat? Don't you stop to get some grub? Do a video on some nice local spots to get some food around lake Champlain?

The breakdown was good, but you forgot one key element which is insurance. If the truck has to sit, it will still burn a hole in your pocket. If the trailer sits you only have the cost of the unit. This is very important for people who have other gigs, but want to use roll-offs as a side business.

True but I don’t think anyone with common sense would buy a Hooklift truck to do this as a “side” business unless they had plans to scale it in a relatively short period to a full time position for themselves or another driver. If it’s a side gig only and it’s kept that way stick with a trailer

plus, you can get a flat deck for the dump truck and can diversify a lot @@lakechamplainsanitation7226

Great video ! Starting a dumpster business in Florida. We will be dropping for several roofing companies that want 15 and 20yd containers dropped. Will the under CDL hook lift trucks haul 20yders?
    Thanks

One point you didn't hit is the size of the trailer, if you have a typical tandem axle trailer the capabilities are definitely limited. But if youre in the dual tandem axle range you can easily haul the 20 yard dumpers. You will need a hefty truck for sure but still worth mentioning. Just saying this for people looking into going this route. I agree the rolloff truck is the way to go if you can afford it. Alot of good info in this video, thank you 🫡

So I have a question I have a 3/4 ton can I haul a 20 yard dumpster with it . I want to at some point get some 30 and 40 yard dumpster. I’m in talks with a company that is building a new warehouse complex that we’ll need them . I’m sure I we’ll have to have a semi to haul the 30/40 yard

20YD would be close to legal limit with 3 ton depending on the dumpsters weight empty. Definitely tandem axle for 30s and 40s

If you had a f650 with 120 CA, would you feel more comfortable running a 14' 20 yard bin?

What is your opinion when it comes to cab over style trucks vs regular trucks like the f550?
Also, are all the cans universal regardless hook vs roll off?
    Loving the great content!

I have never driven a cab over but I hear the turning radius is very good! The dumpsters are pretty standard rail wise but hook height and lockers for the back can vary
