- SPOILERS... duh
So a somewhat quick explanation of the ending and the events leading up to it. I don't claim to be a lore channel but maybe this will help a bit.
Nobeta had her soul sealed inside of the Throne and separated from her body. Nonota was a slave girl who had her soul ripped out and placed inside of Nobetas Body having her memories taken away but drawn to the throne because a body desires to be with a still living spirit. After defeating Vanessa at the throne room the shapeshifting cat the guided you passes away and Nonota is attacked by Vanessa as she tries to take her body. The cat informs the real Nobeta that Nonota took good care of her body and is an overall kind soul and would likely make for a good traveling companion before passing on. Fastforwarding a bit in the spirit world Nobeta's spirit destroys Vanessa trying to take over her body. Then at the final area Nobeta finally confronts Nonota and the final boss ensues against the two protagonists. After Nobeta wins she asks if Nonota would like to come with her and Nonota accepts. Nobeta wakes up in her original body and sees that the cat has passed away so she places Nonotas Soul inside the cat, which we have seen can shapeshift into a human form once before. So the two leave the castle off to explore the world Nobeta with her old body returned and Nonota with a new body but one she can call her own as well as wearing Tania's Ribbon to honor the promise she made to her.
6:35 you got lucky. I always get knocked off the edge whenever I get hit by that attack.
My theory with how the game ends is that since the cat's soul left, Nobeta placed Nonota's soul in the cat's body.
This was quite a way to flip the script. The last boss in the game, is the character the player was controlling and experiencing basically the whole game with. Needless to say, in the end. It is clear the two going off together is Nobeta and Nonota. The game was short, but was nice. And gotta admit, that ruin area? Pretty unsettling. 😂
I didn’t like that one. 🤨
There is potential for a sequel with new commands and whatnot. However, if there is a sequel, hope it is a bit longer. Definitely worth the money.
oh hey, didn't expect i would see you here xD
I just recently finished the game, i thought there was another ending to the game if you had all the items, but i guess not.
This game is pretty similar with Marchen Forest tbh, but its a shame its too short of a game, and also a bit less challenging, especially with ice magic around
Welp, time to try out the other games you listed for me xD
@@2goodfortwo204 😂
Yeah, I wish it was at least a bit longer. At least a little more to the story would have been nice. From what I can tell, it was a small passion project.
By the way, there are some shortcuts you can use with fire magic, and lightning magic(only when it does not upgrade to the point of where you will not take recoil damage from being too close).
Fire magic, you can skip the ruin part of the game, and the last section.
Lightning magic, there is a certain cliff you can reach in the second to last section of the game by using it, but this is really just on the first play through.
In theory, you might be able to do this as well with fire magic, but I’m not sure.
5:50 I had to watch this video to see if I missed anything because you can skip Nonota's phase two if you damage her fast enough.
Technically yes but you'd have to trick her AI into a long attack animation because once she's reaches around 15% HP she'll become intangible
I just spammed the charged ice attack whenever Nonota didn't have a shield and it really shredded her to health
Nice video. Is this the Steam version?
Yeah I got this game way back in early access. I don't know if it's out on console yet or not even though it has been confirmed for them.
the story is really interesting i wonder nonota can switch with nobeta to use body and i hope they release story after the ending and LWN2
Well that will kind of depend on how well this game does. As for the switching that's probably up to Nobeta since she seems to naturally have soul magic meanwhile Nonota just sort of adapts to learn her magic
@@TitaRussellTrails i just realized nobeta really put nonota to kuro body? or just revive kuro to continuing nonota desire and nonota still in nobeta body
@@kuro8151 It's not explicitly stated but I'm 99% sure she put Nonotas soul in Kuros Body since you see her wearing Tania's Ribbon at the end
I hope they release Kuro mode at some point, we barely see Kuro in game.
The items and Limited Edition Map really expand the world building for a game that only takes place in one castle. It would make sense that this is just a sort of origin story for the duo of Lady Nobeta and her cat servant Nonota.
Also I was thinking the same thing, but since she put the crafted soul Nonota inside the body of her former servant, that's the form she'll keep. Also I'm pretty sure they can only switch thrones in her spirit realm while sitting on the throne in the castle.
I’m surprised that none of your magic reached lv 5…
Bruh,my magic was lvl 2 in the end of a game, but I still managed to get only 1 hit in the whole last battle.
So how was the game?
Lot of fun I really enjoyed it. I do have two complaints I'm not the biggest fans of points of no returns but this game does at least give you a big warning before you reach it. The other issue is difficulty is a bit wack because on Standard you can shrug off far more attacks than you should be able to get away with meanwhile on Advanced there are enemies that can take you out faster than halo 2 jackal snipers and the rematch with Vanessa throws so much at you it'll have you sent back to the goddess statue faster than you can say "I am malenia blade of Miquella"
@@TitaRussellTrails The mana regen and the amount of souls you get from enemies seems to be way higher in standard mode too which makes it even easier
Nonota is my wife
