Stephanie, I just discovered your channel this weekend and it is hilarious.... I retired 4 years ago after almost 50 years in restaurant management... your scenarios are SPOT ON!! I cant believe you dont have 100X the views... i will spread the word about your channel to friends and relatives. I love it! I always felt that a healthy sense of humor was necessary to stay sane in the business. I've lived every one of your examples, and for those who dont believe this stuff... IT DOES HAPPEN. "When you feed the masses, you feed the asses"! Keep it up!

Stereotyping hurts everyone. People did it when I was a teen and they do it to teenagers now. It's not right. Kid was simply doing his job and did not deserve to be treated that way. If she didn't like it, then she knew where the door was.

More employers and managers need this kind of sense!
Do not capitulate to the Karens, doing so only encourages their delusional crap.

Teenagers work at many different locations. Just because they have crazy colored hair and ware earrings doesn’t make them bad at a job, it makes them unique and probably the nicest kid you’ve met in a while. And the table thing, my husband and I prefer a booth, but if one isn’t available, we will sit at a table. The food will taste just as good. And if they are a bit behind on cleaning one off, we have just sat there, looked at the menu, and when they came to clean our table, we smiled and thanked them for doing a good job. Why is it so hard for people to be nice?

As a restaurant manager, let me just say thank you. The customers like you make it so much easier to deal with the asshats.

@@stephanieswilley-arnold6886 , The world and life in general is so difficult at times... Why make it worse by treating others like dirt? Just another form of bullying in my mind. We are happy ourselves when we are kind and help others be happy. 🙂❤️

Maybe I have more patience for things as I worked in retail for 18 years but when I run across a younger or a person just starting a job I know there is a learning curve. I rarely get frustrated with a clerk and if I see they're getting flustered I simply say, stand back for a second, take a deep breath and just follow your procedures. I had a guy behind me in a store one day flapping his gums about the new clerk. I looked at him and said, "Yeah, like you were 100% perfect on your job too when you first started weren't you." He sort of shut up and waited. Come on people. Have a bit of patience. If you are in a hurry don't go shopping, etc at the busiest time of day or be prepared to have a bit of a wait. Sheesh !!

Sounds as though the son was doing a thoroughly professional and pleasant job. The “guest” needs perspective and better manners.

I do think it’s funny that all the jobs that used to be teenager jobs in the 80s and 90s then in the 2000s to the mid 2000s became “living wages” and now because they can’t find people to work they’re hiring teenagers again like they should and everybody is mad again…
Maybe if we taught teenagers to act like adults and not treat them like overgrown children - like people used to do in the 80s and 90s and forever since before recent- they would know how to behave.
Society has decided that you are a child until your mid 20s .
This is what you get .
If we were to start 13 to 16-year-olds to act more mature and raise the bar, they will .
I mentored youths for 15 years 2000s I can tell you when I treated them like adults they stepped up to the plate.
If we want society to improve, we need to expect more of our young adults .
Teenagers are supposed to be the stage where you become a young adult . Once you hit 18, you should be expected to act and behave as a young adult… it does not mean you know everything, but you should be expected to act and society as an adult does.
We start doing that we will solve some of this problem .
We stopped teaching their special snowflakes that everybody has to agree with what they think about themselves and society and everything else. Maybe we could fix this. .
We all have different opinions and beliefs, and approaches to things … we can agree to disagree and still like each other and it’ll be OK.

Sounds to me like your teenage host has plenty of professionalism! He’s better than most adults these days. People just like to bitch just to bitch just like you say. The customers are the problem not the staff

What a waste of energy. I just walk out if I don’t like what a business is promoting. Voting with muh feet AND dollars 😊 I can tell the women who are more inclined to pitch unnecessary fits, too, as a woman myself, they stopped at 1 or 0 kids. You wouldn’t hv the wherewithal at the end of the day if you just had another kid or 2, much better use of that energy. 👍
