I have much respect for waiters and waitresses restaurant staff to be able to serve and deal with people , children and just plain mean people! One of the hardest jobs ever is waiting tables ,but some people just make it look so easy, but it is incredibly hard work !

Maybe I have more patience for things as I worked in retail for 18 years but when I run across a younger or a person just starting a job I know there is a learning curve. I rarely get frustrated with a clerk and if I see they're getting flustered I simply say, stand back for a second, take a deep breath and just follow your procedures. I had a guy behind me in a store one day flapping his gums about the new clerk. I looked at him and said, "Yeah, like you were 100% perfect on your job too when you first started weren't you." He sort of shut up and waited. Come on people. Have a bit of patience. If you are in a hurry don't go shopping, etc at the busiest time of day or be prepared to have a bit of a wait. Sheesh !!

I agree with what you are saying. With that said...for anyone watching a cross necklace, earrings, ring etc does not make you a christian. Believing on the finished work on the cross does. It is a little ironic someone with the screen name sassy server is giving a etiquette to customers. Well put though.

I agree as a person who used to go to church & lunch after. My Christian friends acted like this & even w. Good service they would leave a dollar tip for a $20 dollar meal. I got embarrassed by their behavior & quit going out with them. There was certain restaurant that gave a discount if you brought in the church bulletin, we were in Sunday School class & they would go get the Bulletins and not go to church service. Because they wanted to beat the crowds. I told them that was wrong & I paid full price , but it bugged me . How can Jesus come back for his bride /church , when we are so spotted , wrinkled & blemished .Wake up people !!

Better point: if you are a Christian and want people to come to church on Sunday, DO NOT go to a restaurant and force them to be at work that day!

I waited tables 27 years and I am a Christian. I could not stand waiting on churchgoers if I had to work in Sunday. You are right, they were rude and did not tip well or not at all.

So as a Christian man myself, I have a couple of questions. How do you know these people are Christian, and why are you serving brunch on Sunday? Scripture says we must not neglect the gathering of the saints.

I used to wait tables and your attitude plain sucks. If your business is open it's open - get a new job if you can't handle that.

I worked at Denny's in high school on Sundays as probably my first job. Miserable, stressful days as a busboy and dishwasher. I still dislike eating out on Sundays( 44 years later) ,and I didn't grow up in church .

In my country, 15 min prior to close, staff shut doors except one kept half open for exit only. Then tell remaining customers to hurry and leave as "we staff have families to go back to" Customers have rights AND staff have rights

I don't know one church goer who yells or treats the staff bad. If you don't like the business tell them to stop coming. Simple. Don't ya just love how business owners don't appreciate your business anymore. Went to my dr the other day and the girls behind the desk always have stink face. I'm thinking jeez, why do I even come here anymore.

My daughter worked as a waitress during high school. The worst tippers and rudest people were the Sunday after church crowd. The best tippers were bikers. They took a lot of attention but tipped very well. Enough that the wait staff much preferred bikers over the after church crowd.
