  • Elden Ring is amazing, and with the new Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, I thought it would be fun to add Elden Ring items into DnD to use for your campaigns

holy underviewed video this is so cool. the way that these create unique decisions or add particular flavor to a character's weapon is awesome. in the future, maybe some slightly weaker unique weapons could be cool, but this was rad good stuff

Thank you so much I really appreciate it, I definitely want to make some more of these Elden Ring/DnD videos so next time i'll make sure to add some weaker but impactful items for lower level characters.

@@HangwitsArchive Awesome I'm looking forward to it. Other games, as well as enemies, could also be really cool.

Any idea how to translate the item descriptions into TTRPGs?

I think this generally depends on the style of your game, personally I don't add the item descriptions to my DnD game. However if I did I believe the best way is by handing a player a card with the description, but stylised in a way that suits your campaign. Like if your campaign is pirate based then it could be cool to have the description be stained and crinkled like a treasure map.
For the specific wording of the description the world is a major factor for this as the item descriptions in Elden Ring add to the lore of the world so if you add them to your games the description should justify that items existence in your world and help insight into other aspects of your world.

@@HangwitsArchive Actually I am thinking about this for weeks and months 😅 I think I could get away with a „you remember overhearing xyz“ or „as you touch the item, you notice“ approach.
