Sean, this is all very frustrating to me. At this point I could care less about, the court of public opinion!! I want those pitiful authorities that pressured Lee Sun-kyun to THE POINT OF SUICIDE to put the same pressure on the upstairs neighbor! I'm not interested in her or her child care issues and none of that shouldn't have any bearings on the judicial process or her length of time served!! Upstairs, downstairs, they both have a shady past! Why are they allowed to still walk around and in the position to continuously cause harm?!!

That park blackmailer is really evil to the nth. I say this b/c by bringing the baby with her in court is using that baby to irritate everyone.
So if the police had done their jobs and gone after the two women when Lee Sun reported them instead of trying to pin him - he might still be with his family...

Why is she allowed to bring her baby to the court in the first place? This is not a play ground and since she does this on purpose, even more so they have to stop her. What a dam lame excuse that she has provided and it is even accepted? The baby is a victim and should not go thru in this way. BTW. Now what comes to my mind is, among others: such questions as whether these two terrible women should not be tried as recidivists and therefore the sentence should not be more severe? What is it like in Korea? And my intuition as a woman tells me that there is at least one more layer to this tragedy because it is hard to believe that Lee Sun Kyun took his own life just because of the ongoing drug case and this grotesque (as you can see) blackmail.
Totally agree, did any ctv cameras pick up the actor and one of these women together his last day? It seems the actor and manager had to be intelligent than the jailbirds.

It’s sad that pretty soon, all of this will be forgotten. Just yesterday’s news. A woman is without her husband, those two boys without their father, the world without an outstanding artist who was forced to take his own life because he saw no way out. What a tragedy!
I feel like going to South Korea and go in front of the court and do a hunger strike. I can’t believe the government is not doing anything about this. At least they should apply pressure to the judge and expedite the trial and sentence these blackmailers. Lee Sun Kyu is a national treasure! SMH😭. Thank you Sean for this update❤️
Justice for Lee Sun Kyun. Not only on the blackmailers, but ALL those who have failed him (ie. the police, media, politicians, and netizens, etc). Shame on ALL of them. Murder , someone took his own life because of them ! I'm not saying he was an angel, but he Lee Sun Kyung is no longer with his family, friends ,wife and his precious children ! Also poor Lee Sun-kyun, his friend “Kang Sangjin” is now being used as witness for his blackmail case, when this could have stopped if they did this in the first place and he would still be alive.

Tks alot for the updates, Sean. But aren't the 2 conspirators in jail awaiting trial. They will not be charge as first degree murder, but they should be charged as homicide. The indirectly caused Lee Sun-Hyun demised. I can consider him as one who had not committed any crime before, thats why he was easily blackmailed for 350,000 USD. On top of that the police r taking the chance to glorify their department by getting an artise whom they thought had been taking drugs & in order to see the case goes through, they leak it to the press to seal Lee Sun-Hyun fates. Thats a very cruel way to act on someone who had not been proven guilty. I really hope that the blackmailer & conspirators rot in jail forever for their evil mind.

I'm so frustrated with this whole story. I know in the States we have a really messed up judicial system, but it seems like, in every step of the way, by nearly every individual possible, they dropped the ball. Never mind, Lee Sun Kyun was an amazing actor and beloved, he was a person who deserved to be treated like a person and heard and have things investigated properly. It feels like the cops were generally hoping for a big case, which would inevitably mean, big promotions. And instead of looking at him as they should have, they took advantage of the whole situation.
Thank you for continuing to talk about this case. It feels like so many people have let it go.
Side note, and completely of topic, I'd love to hear your opinion on Somyi getting 12 months of jail time for false accusations of SA, but men who commit actual SA, along with other horrific acts, get less time. I just generally don't get the justice system. Really, here or abroad.

Hi Sean. Work and school going at me hard and I am a bit behind. Have their been any updates on this? How will this work over there? If she if found guilty will she be held responsible for facilitating his passing? ANYONE online or in person that pushes anyone to the point where they feel their only option is to opt out needs to do prison time!!! Lots and Lots of prison time. You never know the full mindset and mental capacity of anyone or how much they can take in dark times.

And also on October 19th when it started that Lee Sun-kyun was involved in the drug case, that’s when he reported the blackmail (because he didn’t know, he was filming), which is why the police probably didn’t believe him since they were focusing on the drug case like you said

I still wonder, how these people had such easy contact with the blackmailer the women, because back in November MBC program who interviewed the blackmailer at the time (which they said they didn’t know) and then these so called “friends” just meet with this women at the Gangnam restaurant like….

It is so upsetting and twisted: Lee Sun Kyun had no other choice than to kill himself (if he really did) for only a SUSPICION??? (suspicion of drug use, and adultery) Have they at least did a post mortem drug test to clear his name???? Now here are these two who PROVABLY committed series of the meanest things and shall dance away from the court, with punishment if any, for illegal SIM-card use and some other minot thing???? No word about blackmailing, etc.? Blackmailing is not a crime in Korea? Provably causing the death of someone, is not a sin, not a crime? They can simply go on and continue their lives???? I was a mid (and later upper) level manager in a publicly traded company. Was occasionally doing coke on the weekends. A few casual friends that had no connection to work knew about the drugs.
If you are "famous" and live off your image, you are taking risks by putting yourself in sketchy situations.

I heard that the police officer who leaked to the media Lee Sun Kyun's "little fun adventure" with these pretty ladies, got arrested. I think he's more responsible than these honeys on Lee Sun Kyun's fatal decision. Not that I'm advocating for the pretty ladies but we have to be fair all these would had cleared up in a discreet manner without the circus from the media.
