  • The JSTARS do a lot of highly classified work, but before the last jet left Robins, we got a look inside the plane.

    Back in 1968, I went to Sheppard AFB in Texas to train as a reciprocating engine aircraft mechanic and one of the aircrafts we trained on was that KC-97 behind the reporter. Our class graduation photo was with a KC-97 on the background.

    Like the picture behind the news man is a KC-97 the plane your talking about is probably a C 135 , nice

      I agree with you about the photo behind the news man, but the airplane they are talking about is actually the E8C JSTARS aircraft. It's built on a B707 cargo airframe. I worked on them and helped maintain them at depot level for several years.
