Fun fact about the mig 25 when it was going that fast it was damaging its own engines so you could not really fly that fast for long without any issues on the engine. It was also a top secret project for The Soviet Union but a pilot surrendered himself to the us by flying the plane to a us airfield so thats how they got a hold of one.
Not at mach 2.8, we know the foxbat could get to mach 3.2 as it was tracked do so multiple times first over the sini, and the early version definitely had long-term engine problems at that speed but every plane undergoes some long term engine troubles at any speed.
@@quartersquishy5312 it was junk that the soviets overstated constantly
not much has changed with Russia as well
Yea they are not telling people how fast the F22 goes....
Space shuttle: hello What about me Mach 20 SR-71 and SR-72: 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Air force was crazy in the 60s
no we realized speed doesnt mean much
Man the fox at is cool. People don’t realize just how big it’s engines are. I didn’t know until I saw a 1:1 creation in VR, and it was absolutely astounding.
it has to have large engines because it is so heavy and not maneuverable at all
@@n3v3rforgott3n9 doesn’t mean it’s not cool
Everyone is a gangsta until the Black Bird decides to have a baby with the Raptor...
That would create the x15…
@@thelastchairlol8527 no it wouldn’t. The x15 is just a missile with a cockpit so it’s not even maneuverable. The coolest part of the f22 other than it’s stealth is it’s maneuverability
Radar stations above Egypt once clocked a MiG-25 going just above Mach 3. It was designed to catch the Blackbird, so it had almost enough speed.
Honestly surprised you didn’t mention the F-104G
Supersonic Pencil
Fun Fact: Darkstar From Top Gun known as SR-72 dosent actually exist it would be imposible to do MACH 10 with 2 jet engines and there’s another reason because if THE jet was to low it would not break MACH 10 because of air and if it was to high then there’s less oxygen then the engines would be usless because of the atmosphere.
My dumbass who thought the Starfighter was gonna be here: 🤡
the MiG-25 actually uses brute force to gain mach 3, but is still pretty powerful back in the 60s. Its just like how you can use a bomb to bring down a wall, or you can implant an internal explosive to break down the wall from inside. Gets the same thing done, but with different technologies.
I like the F-22 raptor and it was that fast
MiG-25 is such a large jet.
I got to see a fly by from an f22 for the first time at oshkosh and it was fucking awesome
this was an old movie in year 2010
Not sure, but i think the MiG-25 achived speeds of Mach 3.2, but with huge damages on the engines and fuselage.
PO 2 going mach 4:
Technology in the 60-80s was on another level. The top jet at 2.83 from the 60s was just amazing. From using prop engines in the 40s to Mac 2.83 in the 60s is just amazing
Yea but the aircrafts engines had a service life of 200 hrs
but thay were usually garbage
If you ever played ace combat 3, you know that the SR71 is a fighter!
ace combat ain't very realistic on plane fighters but y know
@@jumbodillpicklethat is indeed what the joke is
There was some project that the US worked on basically slapping missiles onto a SR-71 classifying it as an interceptor with a top speed of Mach 3.2 but was later scrapped as it was a dumb idea
Mig-25 Is like Hold my Sonic boom...😂😂😂😂
The MIG 25 "foxbat" is my personal favourite Jet
Realy I like this powerful fastest fighters jets
The mig-25 top speed recorded was actually 3.2, it's just that it tore its engine compressor apart to do so. So it can reach over mach 3, it's just that it has to grenade its engines to do so.
I bet half the people that say “Darkstar from Top Gun” think Top Gun is a documentary
the su-27 is soooooo beautiful !
F 15s my favorite too. Just imagine them flying over your house a few times a month.. I can
I love the F15, too. But you gotta admit, the 5th Gen aircraft are cool.
Fun fact: the MiG-25's true top speed is Mach 3.2. The Soviets imposed a speed limit on the plane because going faster than 2.85 overheats the engines as they're turning into ram-air engines at that speed.
I really thought the Tornado IDS would be in here.
