Thank you so much for posting this video. My z flip 4 screen protector was creased to death in the middle of the display which attracted dirt, dust and grime from repeated use. It was disgusting and it made me angry until I saw your video on how to remove and install a new one myself. I realized that all along, I already had the replacement items.... Just needed to use them properly and now my screen is back to normal. Thank you, again, for it is people like yourself that enable the rest of us to be self sufficient!

Thank you for this video. Gave me the confidence to do mine. If I had gone for the free replacement, I would have had to delete all of my data. I've had my phone for nearly a year and didn't want to delete everything. So easy when you know how with this kit.
Most helpful video I found! Easy to order with the link and not overpriced like other protectors I found online. I live out in the middle of no where so there's no place to repair it close by.

Took mine in for the "free" replacement screen protector at EE store. Told me the samsung warrenty is void as i have a scuff on the side right bottom corner (not the screen) and want £400 to touch it. Thanks to yourself, I'll be doing this myself. Thanks to your video ill be saving myself £380. Me and my bank acount ate both eternally greatful!

Omg the same thing happened today! I trapsed from Surrey to soho just for them to remove it, leaving my phone more susceptible to damage now. I think it's a con because they know the protector they apply can't protect it as much as non bending phone screen protectors
My screen lasted for a year and a month now and I really want to change my screen protector now, thanks for showing how to do it.

Just did this. Was so simple 😊. Have a few small bubbles in the fold but hopefully they'll work their way out. If not, I can always try again.

Mine lasted 9 months and got it fixed at a Samsung store (Kings Cross) under warrenty
But where to get this screen protector applicator thing and scraper. Especially in europe

Heyy, I have a similar screenprotector experience (with the flip3). My question is: how is your flip 3 flip4 holding up with the Whitestone screenprotector after application. Does it holdout the same or maybe better? And can you use a whitestone flip4 protector on the 3? I believe they should be the same right?
They are holding out better than the original to be fair 👍🏻 Not sure about the difference between 3 & 4 as whitestone branded packaging for each so I bought the one they recommended. I don't think there is a difference but I haven't had both at the same time to compare against; sorry.

The problem with changing the screen protector is that at the hinge the connecting ribbon under the glass screen can impact on some fixings at the hinge area, which frays in use and eventually shorts out the phone when you fold it.
Didn't know that but it must be changeable because Samsung acknowledge that it's replaceable 🤷
My z flip has what looks like a cut in the middle im goinf to try this so hopefully its just the screen protector. Ive had my z flip 4 since October.
Yeah that is what my flip 3 screen looked like and it was just the protector. Good luck 👍

My flip 4 protector is completely cracked in the middle and starting to peel. It has lasted me about 6 months, but alas it's time to replace it. I love my phone, but I just don't know if the screen material is robust enough to stay intact through prolonged use.

Mine needs a new screen protector , why so they make such a big thing.about the protector ! And then dont offer the service in local stores it will put me off getting a phone like this again . Does the replacement pack contain this soecial tool .

Yep came out perfectly. I swapped it for the 5 after 6 months and Samsung had it back and the screen protector was still great 👍

Mine is badly cracked and began to bubble after 8.5 months of use and I was worried I'd have to take it somewhere to get that fixed. I had to find the US link to the same product, but I'm definitely getting it and doing it myself. I'd rather pay $15 and do it myself than drop it off and wait 2 weeks for Samsung to "do it for free" lol Thank you for this video!!!

It did! I got my new screen protector and fun install gadget, referred to your video again, and fortunately all the excessive cracking was just the protector! 🙌 now it's like new again and that gadget made it so easy! So thanks again for the video!

@@forgoodnesskeepsakesI'm about to change mine myself, sending it to Samsung from a third party retailer is a bit of a hassle where I am. But I've been warned the warranty will be void if I do it myself. So you confirm it's holding well ? My original one lasted about 6 months. Just want to make sure these third parties ones would at least last the same or close ^^ thanks in advance for your feedback

How well do these 3rd party screen protectors hold up? I just received my z flip 5 about 2 months ago. Unfortunately with these Samsung flip phones the preinstalldd screen protectors o ly last about 6 to 12 months
I think that is the same for all of them due to wear and tear 🤷 although the one I used has lasted longer than the OEM.

I've now.upgraded to the flip 5 but it was all perfect after a year 👍

It comes with a screen protector as standard. You can tell around the camera hole where the screen protector goes under it. 👍 Hope that helps.
Do flip 5 have the same problem with screen protector..
Mines still the original but I can't see anything different so I give it another couple of months 🤦

Yep, easy to apply. In fact I've used it on each version of the flip I've had 👍
Mine lasted just over a year and started lifting on the crease. I booked a free samsung repair, but after taking the screen protector off, they discovered a tiny scratch and refused to apply the new screen protector because "its against their policy." I can't afford 350 quid to fix this, so I'll be using your video to apply a screen protector that I will now have to purchase myself :/

Ive only had mine a couple months and feel like ill be doing this in the near future because i fidget a lot and im constanly folding my flip4 out of boredom. I got it free on a free 3rd line with tmobile tho so i have my s22ultra if the flip ever gives out from my abuse lolol

when my first zflip's screen protector started coming off, i forgot it was a factory preinstalled,,, took off and broke the screen, absolutely terrified to replace it myself but don't wanna pay a lot for someone to do this for me
I didn't mind paying but no where did it close so I had no choice 😳
How long is the protector lasting?
It's still on and fine at the moment, hopefully it will last until the next version of the phone comes out in sept/Oct 😳

Yeah I'm sure they test for a certain number of folds before failure but I bet it doesn't account for different temperatures etc 🤔
My wifes is doing this now. And she rarely even folds hers. So ill be replacing soon

There is a lot of debate about that and I'm not a lawyer who can advise. I read the warranty as it needs a protector to validate the warranty and if you break the screen removing it then it's your problem. If you really are not sure then you should go back to Samsung. I did find replacing it very easy and quick. Hope that helps 👍
It does not. I removed mine and traded it into samsung for new one. They just care about the screen having no scratch.
