There’s many more different factors to settling up your paint gun for the best possible result. I know I didn’t cover it all please feel free to ask questions
Awesome good job. Appreciate the how to video and it really helps a lot people out there. Especially on the masking tips
🙏
Great tips and break down

@@Thedjcodeman sorry mate I only have a video painting the face. But you just have to prep it the same. just have to set it up different to paint.

Thank you Mario!! Great video. Going to be working on painting hood/roof/trunk which are faded due to the harsh Texas sun. Do i need to apply primer on a sun faded surface or would just sanding the area down with 600 grit be good to proceed applying new base coat over these faded areas?
You’re welcome! It’s best to prime in that situation.
@@mariopaintclass6091 There is no body work needed, so can I apply sealer instead of primer and then base coat?
Thanks - I thought I knew how sprayguns worked!
Thanks
I need a mini gun , what do u recommend? Ty

When misting it on as you were doing, how does it not go on dry and grainy?
Misting it on makes it even finer. However it does leave some overspray which is y using a tack cloth between coats after flash is important.
When ever I mist on paint it’s always the last coat called a uniform coat or tie coat.
Mario iam subscribe to your channel streaks is that tiger 🐅 stripes what causes tiger stripes
Thanks 🙌 and yes
Hi Mario. Let me ask you this. Do you think the best mechanic can properly torque all the bolts of an engine without using a torque wrench. I see a lot of CZcamsrs promoting the idea of adjusting a spray gun only by listening to it. What they don't say is that they have a rotary compressor with a lot of CFM and that their airline is properly regulated and stable. A DIY guy trying that method will mess up his paint job because of the fluctuations of the air pressure. In my opinion every paint gun should have a diaphragm air regulator attached to it. This also helps with consistency in your finish.
I take it you learned nothing from this video. Us CZcamsrs take what we learn and figured out on our own use it to teach. It’s up to you guys to take what you can from the videos. There’s tons of different methods out there you just gotta work with what suits you best. And I certainly agree paint guns need regulators
@@mariopaintclass6091 Don't take it personal. It's just that blind spraying doesn't make you a PRO. I learned from different reputable paint manufacturers how important it is to spray their products at the right pressure. They put a lot of effort before coming up with a TDS. For instance, a light blue metallic has 7 different shades depending on the pressure you spray it. So, I believe those videos on CZcams are there to teach beginners. But when many painters are promoting not to use a regulator I think it's a huge misinformation.
@@mariopaintclass6091 If a painter only has one spray gun He will probably get use to it and use it without a regulator. Nowadays most production painters have at least 5 spray guns that all sound differently and the amount of paint (once) per panel that some shops allow them to use is not even enough to achieve full coverage. So no test panels or spray out for them
Hi Mario. I don't know if it's a coincidence or if he's following your channel but the Gunman just uploaded a video a few hours ago explaining how to get rid of air pressure fluctuations and how to properly use a diaphragm air regulator.
