If you've ever dipped your toes into the murky waters of the youtube fitness community, you've undoubtedly encounter the man we know as Big Lenny. But few people actually know who Big Lenny is or what his story entails.

It’s funny that you say that. I seriously thought that I was watching someone else taking about him around the time they were getting into the 650lb record. I guess because they weren’t actually taking about Lenny at that moment and I was getting ready for work, it caused a tiny bit of confusion and for the next 5 minutes or more... every time I saw “white beardless Lenny” I thought it was a friend of Lenny’s and not a version of Lenny at all. Good call.

Lenny's story is so heart-wrenching. In my eyes, Lenny is the definition of passion. Too bad his abusive past twisted that same passion into a destructive force that will become his eventual downfall. Even so, I truly admire a man who is willing to have such a positives outlook on life despite his dark reality.
I do hope some miracle may give Lenny a long life so he can continue inspiring men to look at the bright side of life no matter where you are.

I appreciate you making this video. I had only ever seen clips of him and I thought he was a satirical character, had no idea he was a real person. Very sad story, I hope he gets the help he needs.
Sadly, it's rough times. There really needs to be an update documentary. He's gotten so much help over the years from fans, even at one point being given a whole apartment by a rich trust fund baby named Aladin. Currently, though, he is living with his mother. Supposedly, she is in bad health and needs lenny to care for her, but it's hard to say for sure.
Lenny's reaction when the camera man said what the fuck was that was absolutely priceless.. that clip as a whole is just fantastic.

My mother has worked in mental health and mental hospitals most of her life and she saw my room about 30 years ago when I was a herion addict and she said Robert I know yr not well, you can tell someone is In trouble mentally because of the way they keep the home, IE clean or dirty, and how you present with clothes and how clean you are, and my mum just cryed because she knew I was in serious trouble and it 4 years in prison to get me well.
