Here's the thing about your whole transparency / normalization point - masses cannot properly criticize and stigmatize something they do not understand. In order for this type of PED use to become stigmatized, it MUST become normalized first. I get your point about Sulek, about his situation is a stepping stone in a larger cultural transition. When in doubt, zoom out!
The overwhelming majority of people don't even exercise in any meaningful way much less do progressive weight lifting so there's never going to be a case where PEDs become mainstream outside of a community of super serious athletes. Those people are more than likely already aware of what these drugs can do to you so this panic over "muh children" taking PEDs is just a nothingburger.
I'm gonna pin your comment because this is something I debated putting in the video. I think the current climate in bodybuilding/fitness has become so muddied on the PED side of things that a lot of people(maybe even most) don't know what a natty or enhanced physique looks like. You have the average Joe, who thinks you can achieve the rocks physique natty if you just GRIND in the gym for 5 hours every day and eat 10,000 calories. And on the flipside, a lot of more experienced folks have become SO jaded that they're suspicious of physiques that are totally achievable natty, like Chris Evans. There is a tremendous amount of confusion from all sides.

I’m pretty clueless on pricing. Watching mpmd etc I feel i have a fair understanding of peds but have never attempted to buy or looked into it. I have no idea how much peds cost, I’m guessing it varies massively but what would an ‘average amount’ $ wise for someone built like liver king be normally? I don’t doubt it’s expensive but no way most the guys I know built like that have $k’s to spare each month.

And there's NO chance he's healthy. As evidenced by his perpetually red skin tone, his blood pressure is obviously extremely elevated. Chronic hypertension causes kidney damage & dramatically increases the risk of heart attack & stroke. He was (at least previously) on large amounts of orals which are hepatotoxic & his GH usage could turbocharge any latent cancer in his body. Dude is a walking time bomb.

The worst part is the mental part. You’re used to feeling confident and with lots of energy, then you do a 180 when the drugs come out of your system and you become an emotional mess, lose muscle which fucks with your head and your Estrogen is through the roof while your testosterone is non existent, as well as having no energy to do anything. This is just my personal experience though
One of the most primal things I do is (as a gardener) help myself to fruit trees while working and just tear into an orange with my dirty hands and teeth, juice everywhere and just munch it lol. Very enjoyable and I recommend to anyone :)

Honestly the Liver King is a great poster child for the body dysmorphia many body builders have. So many of them willing to die just for a few years of looking aesthetically pleasing should be classified as a mental illness.
It’s kind of hilarious that a guy like Brian, who is obsessed with fame would become very famous for just a brief period of time and then fall off hard and fast due to his own dishonesty. It’s poetic justice in a way, and now he’s just left floundering in obscurity slowly going insane still trying to recapture that old glory by munching on dead frogs and shit 😂
Everyone focuses on how difficult it is to attain the physique. For me, the ridiculous part is maintenance. The constant need for PEDs, excess of food, costs, and longterm health consequences are ruinous.

Now if he did all that and wasn't famous and rich, he most likely had to stop at one point.

For what it's worth, I went cold turkey from PEDs about 12 years ago. My usage was roughly liver king-esqe. (Less gh, but overall in same ballpark all things considered). It took roughly 6 months to notice significant strength and muscle loss. It takes time for the juice and the effects to clear your system. So, basically, he went off peds till the effects fully stopped, then went right back on. For transparency, i went on testosterone replacement 5 years ago and i am no purist of any kind lol. I was off everything for many years and still looked decent. But, my sex drive, energy and health was mediocre from frying my own ability to produce natural testosterone.

This isn't true though. Even if you're doing standard cycling you'll lose size and strength in between, let alone going six months.
@@ZachGatesHere you'll lose initial water drop, then little by little lose. It becomes really noticable (ie down 15-20 lbs) at around 6 months for me. I didn't say anywhere that i lost "nothing" in 6 months. And, it greatly depends on what you're using and how you eat and train post. I experienced a " negative recomp" where i got softer but stayed similar weight and decent strength. But, yeah, you're right, you lose weight between cycles.

After at least a decade on massive doses, the mental effects of quitting would be pretty devastating. Along with Liver King's addictions to being ripped & the social media validation he receives from it, the chances of him ever completely going natural are slim to none.

Used to live in la Sierra (Mexico) for a while. There was no electricity at first, no water easily accessible (therefore the bathroom was an outhouse), and the food supply was low, besides a few chickens who would oftentimes lay eggs when properly fed and the occasional fish or rabbit you could hunt (nothing too big as there was no freezer until later). Had to eat some of those chickens i cared for.
Some days i did not eat, some days i would not go out due to the cold, and some days working on the property felt anything but rewarding. *That* was primal living, and it fucking sucked. You won't become the strongest human being living like that.

I think the story of the Liver King is a perfect example of the 21st century celebrity process. Ask yourselves: if this man did everything he did now but lived a private life and never became a celebrity, would any of this discourse matter? It would be as interesting as talking shit about your stupid neighbor you've seen a few times down the road who doesn't pick up their dog's shit. But because he commoditized and branded his life, it then became a part of a larger world discourse. If you strip away the validity of his existence outside of his own world and home, then all of this goes back to a void before he became visible and propped up by everyone. I think it's a lesson that we as people have the power to help manifest grifters and give power to bad faith actors but just as easily, we have the power to usher them into nothingness.

Now, near 30, Im really starting to feel how badly I ran my body into the ground for years, and my health is actually a concern for me.

I worked a 15 year desk job and letvthe injuries and pain prevent me from working out. I'm slowly getting back to where i was 10 years ago but it is so much harder now. Never give up

Worked construction my whole life. You always hear the old guys talking about it, but once you start feeling it yourself, you learn quick how much they weren't bullshittin.

I still want to know more about the entire logistics chain that keeps him in constant supply of 1 lb of fresh bull testicles anywhere, anytime. That's the only part of this I find truly impressive. Does he carry them in a cooler? Does he have an assigned bull testicle assistant following him around? Is he shipping himself bull testicles all over the place whenever he travels? Does he feel like an intimidating predator when he's packing up a weekend's worth of balls to hit Vegas with the boys? How many minutes does it take to chew a pound of balls? Does that help him tone his jaw muscles? So many questions about this ball logistics chain still need to be answered.

I think it would've benefitted his image and popularity to immediately come out as not natty, as you mentioned. He could've even played with it in skits, pretending to find "naturally occurring" syringes or bottles of PEDs or HGH in the bushes or whatever.
