Viewing their sons as threats and their daughters as prey, or view one sex of kids in one way and not the other. Others appear to be normal parents and it is these ones that likely care in their own twisted way.

The only reason i never actually killed any one is because I was lookes after in church and school. When I was 18 i moved 4000 miles away to escape my parents. At 32, i was diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder after a serious suicide attempt and found out at 40 that I have autistic traits. When you are taught to hate yourself and that you don't matter, nothing or no-one else matters. You no longer have inhibitions and impulse control. No reason to treat others with kindness, empathy and respect.
No one in their right mind would use a history of abuse to excuse serial murder, but it is important to understand that abuse can in some cases contribute to this kind of behavior.

I’m thinking that finding the ability to forgive a killer is a bit easier when you’re a family member of the killer and not the family member of the murdered. Not trying to be facetious, I just don’t see how writing a book or going on a talk show about such a thing helps the victims families. I understand the killers family needs to heal, but they should also want the victims families to find a way to move forward and heal. Putting out a book would probably make most victims families seethe from such a scenario.

My mom ran over my puppy way over 20 years ago, I still bring it up and guilt her let alone it being on purpose. I’d be done with them for sure. When I was a child my neighbors dog bred mine and the puppies killed her, he was a schoolteacher when I got to highschool they tried putting me in his biology class I went and threw a fit and got moved out (didn’t help he was a pedophile also).
