I have to agree with Dinoz here. Subtle is the way with any fruit beer in my opinion. Nice job. And craft beer has blown our pallets out with massive amounts of hops etc. It's great to step back and enjoy and appreciate subtle flavours. Enjoyed Christmas facts. I brewed a cherry stout, using frozen cherries from Aldi. If I was to do it again, I’d either use puree or I’d use less, but crush them to break out more flavour. I don’t use lactose, as I feel it hides all the positives of a good stout - sounds like you left it out too.

Suble cherry notes are better than it being full on in my opinion so i like this and head retention looks bob on. Well done for a shout out for the workers over xmas...tesco etc only get 1 day off, blimey. Wishing u and the family Nollick Ghennal ( merry xmas in manx😊) cheers👍
It has to be subtle natural flavours every time. I had a 🍒 stout from Marble brewery last week which tasted like cheap cherryade, it was a drain pour! Merry (cherry) Christmas!
You could get some cherry juice from the supermarket and add a bit before pouring a pint then top up to taste. Not quite the answer after the beer has fermented granted. Suppose with all that dark malt it would always be restrained flavour. Frozen fruit must be about 7 or 8 quid a kilo so adding loads will be $$$$. I've been planning (but never brewing) a cherry kriek for ages and read somewhere to use 250g cherries per litre.
