Inspired by Laverne & Shirley, I tried milk & Pepsi a few times when I was a kid. I hadn't thought about it in probably 2-3 decades, but as soon as you mentioned mixing milk and Coke, I immediately remembered how it tasted. If memory serves, it's kind of like an ice cream soda, but without the chuck of ice cream in it. I haven't had soda in a long time, but I may have to try it again sometime soon. I'd climb K2 for you.

They aren't hard to make! You need chocolate syrup, milk, and club soda. You put a few tablespoons of chocolate syrup in a glass, add about a quarter cup of milk, and mix it together. While you mix it (stir pretty quickly!), add the club soda. I think it tastes even better if you chill the glass first, makes it nice and frosty.

I know this is a bit off-topic, but you should try Milk Toast!
-Make two pieces of toast (to any degree of burnt you'd like)
-Heat milk in a saucepan on stove until it's very hot or until it just barely starts to stick to the sides of the pan
-Put toast in a bowl, butter each piece
-coat both layers in a decent portion of plain granulated sugar
    -poor the milk on top
Typically eaten with a spoon, it's a super sweet treat, great for breakfasts, deserts, or nights you can't sleep. I learned it from my dad. The texture is great with a contrast between the crunchy and soft part of toast and soggy bread, and it's creamy and sweet from the milk and sugar!
BTW, love love LOVE your videos! My gf introduced me to you about a year ago, and I think I've probably watched almost all your videos by now xD Keep it up! :)

I mix milk honey and peanut butter, I love milk with frozen berries in bowl, i mix milk with sweet bread or muffins and sometimes let it soak till it gets mushy (I call it "bread pudding" haha when I was a kid), as for drinks I have also mixed milk with juices. Often berry flavored juices, mango, papaya, etc. or Asian teas.

    1. Mix some strawberry fanta with some condensed milk
    2. or you can add carbonated water, some syrup and condensed milk.

it's really delicious and refreshing :3

I've had milk with root beer or with cream soda, as an alternative to egg cream which I didn't care for. I only put an inch or two of milk in the glass, then pour the soda in from a foot or so above the glass (glass in the sink so I don't make a mess). You want it to foam up like a fountain soda, and the milk stabilizes the foam a bit. It's like a float with the ice cream dipped out.

My mom would ALWAYS make cola milk during the hot summers. In Pakistan, we call it "dood-soda,", translating to "milk-soda.". I loved drinking it. So refreshing! Sorry to hear you didn't like it, but i applaud you for at least giving it a try :).

  • @CarolinaSCraftsMakeupFood

Interesting! I've had a different soda and milk combo - red Kola and milk- and it's good. Maybe I ought to give this a try!!

My Mom was from the South (United States) and she grew up drinking coke with peanuts. You take a handful of Spanish Peanuts, skin and all, and put them in a bottle of coke...you proceed to drink the coke as normal and then when you are reaching the end of your soda you start eating the peanuts. I have had this several times myself but not since I was a kid....I should introduce it to my husband and two boys to see what they think....thank you Emmy for triggering a fond memory of my Mom.

Orange Julius, oj and milk with a few other ingredients; Purple Cow, grape juice or soda and milk; and of course milk tea served over ice. Some people use condensed milk to sweeten it instead of plain sugar.

I grew up drinking Coke and milk! It's actually my favorite drink. I find the best ratio is roughly 1/4 Coke to 3/4 milk. It's to-taste, of course. (However, do NOT try nut-milks. They curdle immediately.)

Root beer and milk is a bit like a melted down float but not quite as sweet or thick. (If you add half and half instead its more float-like.) And recently I tried Vanilla Big Red and milk and it wasn't bad, I kinda liked it.

I have been drinking pop with milk all my life (I'm 49 now). I did get the original idea from Laverne and Shirley. We even came up with a name for it: "Mop" for milk and pop. My absolute favorite is rootbeer and milk. Sort of tastes like a melted rootbeer float. Now that I am lactose intolerant, I have cola with vanilla almond milk. Soooooo good! You can experiment with different brown pops: Dr Pepper, cherry coke, etc. Clear pops are mixed with fruit juice with splendid results! That one is called "Fizz" (not sure why, my kids and I thought of it, hahaha)

I drank this all the time as a kid growing up in Massachusetts. But, to a lesser ratio than 1:1. The idea always was to just add enough milk to lighten the color to a sort of chocolate milk appearance and I believe this started off at soda parlors (think Victorian-Edwardian era) when people didn't want a whole ice cream sundae. But, wanted something more than just a soda. So, the soda jerk/dairy parlier would add condensed milk (usually) to some soda syrup and would make this concoction's ancestor instead of just adding the soda water. Though, that part's addition is what you effectively made and when done to a lighter degree than half and half, it's actually quite refreshing.

What sort of reaction do you get to your lactose intolerance? Just curious. I am lactose intolerant but have it all the time, and I find I've gained more of a tolerance to it as a result, depends on the cream content.

Make a 'spider' You select add a nice scoop of icecream to the bottom of a tall glass. Top with a small amount of any flavoured fizzy drink (soda?) I like creaming soda, (I think you call that root beer) , raspberry, or plain lemonade. It will create a lovely creamy foam. You spoon it off and enjoy it. Then top with more soda from your can or bottle and repeat until all the foam is gone, then mix up the remainder of the drink and enjoy the milky, fizzy yumminess. Australian favourite. Right up there with Vegemite, Chicko Rolls and Meat Pies.

When I was a kid, my mom would make us a special drink - blue milk. It was just milk, sugar, vanilla and blue food coloring, but oh how we loved it. It wasn't until I was older that I found out the only reason it was blue was because that was the color food coloring that was always leftover in the box. lol
