Emmy we gon' fight if you don't make that pie from the first page of this new cookbook. It looks so interesting!
William Henderson lmao i hella cracked up @ your comment lol
You have to go through me
If you don't know who Prodigy is he was beast in the rap game in the 90's. He was a part of a group named Mobb Deep. Highly recommended his stuff.
Oh wow I never put 2+2 together when she's done these videos, didn't now his full name. You're right he was a beast!
yeah the barbcue salmon looks good
Heâs dead...
Emilio Luera RIP
Shook ones is that đ„
"It's my prison after all!"
I lost it right there.
it sucks that emmy is an OG of the youtube scene, and doesnt even have 1 mil subsđ„đđ
she is almost there tho. patience my friend.
She has principles and doesn't buy followers. She is the real deal.
Alisha Durbrow right. she's positive and amazing, she doesn't demean people, buy followers, gossip about people or celebs, don't do fake story times...I love her she's so genuine
To be fair, Emmy is hardly an OG.
The real OGs are Nigahiga, Happyslip and James Rolfe. You also have Philip DeFranco who is the first King of Clickbaits.
Other channels that died out are Happyslip and that annoying kid "Fred" with the high-pitched voice.
are you really trying to argue youtube semantics or
Emmy is so classy, even when something is not great she is still positive. It ust be hard to eat so many different things from different countries and not offend anyone but Emmy pulls it off with class and grace.
My ex was in prison years ago. When we lived together last winter he would still make his own version of a break. We lived in a motel so hed put ramen, some sort of chips, cheese sauce, canned chili or gas station chili, jalapenos and onions from the gas station and lunch meat i got from my work. Hes in prison again so im sure hes still eating it.
@Ashlee Page. I'm sorry you experienced that.. My dead ex bf was incarcerated too- twice. Part of the reason he was an ex... I hope you in a better space now.đ
@@therawebster3285 thanks! I'm in a much better place now. Hope things are well for you as well.
Emmy has the most professional 1 person channel on this website! I've never seen someone on a one person show use a lapel mic!
it always catches me off guard that you guys in the states have the red bag for cheese doritos, over here in the uk cheese is orange and red is for a spicey chilli flavour instead.
Lili-mai Ashley our spicy chili flavor is purple
Lilli You've got the red bag for Frazzles, which I find amazingly good. I know a lot of people don't like them but this Yank loves them. Wish we had them here.
Craig Chastain we just call those bacon rashers over here. C': they are good though, when the main flavour is paprika and not gallons of salt.
So, I know you refer to a slice of bacon - streaky or back - as a rasher, But the salty snack (crisp) beside even if not made by the Frazzle brand is also generically called a rasher too?
***** it's just the general associated flavour and shape so it keeps the name instead of just being called bacon crisps, vague bacon like streak down the middle, some amount of salt and paprika = bacon rashers. Oddly enough though, some of the non brand name versions taste better than the brand name ones.
But yeah we have several things like that, like salt & vinegar sticks, prawn cocktail shells, just straight plain "chips" that are like French fries. Etc. I'm sure the states has several things that aren't the thing they're called but gets called that regardless.c':
Yes more prison recipes Emmy! This looks like a different prison recipe book from previously. Do you have 2? I wouldn't think there would be many prison recipe cookbooks around.
Yeah, this is a new book.
emmymadeinjapan thank you for the reply!
There are SEVERAL jailhouse and prison cookbooks.
you bet your tushie I want to see more recipes from that book!
TreClaire me too!
me too!!
TreClaire too
Jim Bob nah
Jim Bob that's not fun..
R.I.P prodigy
I love that you're featuring this book and his recipes for so many reasons. Thank you!
Prodigy is a rapper who just died from complications due to his sicklecell . He was one of the two mc's in the group mobb deep which is an iconic group that started in the early 90s when him and havoc were teenagers. Rest in peace Prodigy.
Yay emmy I missed these SO much and Im so glad youre doing them again!
I love the prison food videos, Emmy. More, please!
Yes!! I can't get enough of your prison recipes, I must have watched the old ones at least ten times each!!
He didn't add the flavour sachet because it is full of sodium, but he throws crushed Doritos on top? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Doritos full of sodium too?
Mother Chaos Not to the extent that the flavor packet is tho.
Mother Chaos I think maybe because he's using the Doritos which are already salty, he won't use the sachet stock too or it'll be too salty then.
That was my first reaction. No ramen flavor packet, but he topped his noodles with Doritos and Spam? I mean, maybe Doritos, Spam AND the flavor packet would be overkill, but there's still a lot of sodium in there.
stormbob Technically the recipe calls for canned Vienna sausages, not Spam. Still a good bit of sodium in them but significantly less than Spam. Following the recipe, the sausages and Doritos have about 20% of your daily intake of sodium, whereas the ramen flavor packet has between 65-70% depending on flavor and brand. Certainly doesn't qualify as a low-sodium food either way though.
Canned meat + Doritos is salty enough. I do think flavour packets have even more sodium in them though.
I was waiting for this đ I was like it's Saturday where's my Emmy notification ! Here comes Emmy just in time ! Thank You love your stuff as ALWAYS ! â€ïžïżŒ
Yay I love your Prison Recipe videos so much! Definitely make more please!
These take me back. I retired in April 2016 after 25 years working at our County Jail. Inmates are serious about making their food. I saw a guy loose it over someone stealing his flavor pack from his noodles. I called him the Green Mile. Nicest fellow never had a temper until that day. Was only in for non-child support so he wasn't prone to violence. He lost it that day. Said noodles no good without the seasoning. Of course he was right.
I love these so much!! Please do more!!
Love your channel Emmy! Love the prison recipes. Very inventive!
So nice to be able to try these recipes in the comfort of your own home instead of the discomfort of a funky little cellđ... good times. Freedom rocks! đđđ
đđ
I love your prison recipe series! I found you through your MRE videos so something about the spare, necessary nature of the food is very satisfying, haha.

@@emmymade Aww.. You're a sweet lady. That person may have really needed to be acknowledged that day & you did! You're a Gem. đđđ
I love these videos!!
RIP Prodigy. Thank you for the music and your recipes
It's called Chi Chi. My favorite recipe is broken down beef ramen usually 6 to 8 packs. I only use half of the salt packets. One or 2 cans of instant chili, one or 2 packs of tuna, preferably the Thai sweet chili, one or 2 bags of beef jerky, but I use the steak nuggets cause they're more tender. I use one thing of nacho cheese, the whole thing. I skip the crushed chips. I put that all in a pot dry and stir it up. Add my water and boil it until the noodles are soft. I then turn it down to a simmer until it dries up a good bit. Then I serve it with the chips on top.
It's delicious and beats doing it in a bag which is how it's done in prison.
Love your Channel more prison recipes please !!! I love when you do these prison recipes because they remind me of the show OITNB . Anyways love you Emmy
EMMY I LOVE YOUR HAIR ITS SO CUTE đ
Love your content đđŸ
Hello Emmy! Your videos are so awesome!
Thanks! đ
yes please make more from the cook book, it is so interesting :)
I just watch this channel because it relaxes me and i dont know why....
Oh man. I don't know if I should be proud of this but, I spent a short time in prison and I was really good at making "pizzas". But a different way, using a bag and by flatting it out and cooking with small amounts of hot water can then adding various things as toppings. I'd use a big fritoes bag, four ramen packs, two season packs, chili, corn chips, and pickles, jalapeños, cheese (not in that order). And basically cut the bag open the reveal a nice square ramen pizza then add everything accordingly!
I love ur vids Emmy đđ
Emmy
-it's my jail after all!!!
Best moment đđ
"It's my prison after all..!" Haha!
That's so odd about the knife thing... it seems like it would be a lot easier to cut someone with a metal can lid than with say, a plastic butter knife. But maybe I'm missing something obvious XD
Kat McCloud yeah they could melt down a plastoc knife and harden it into a small, sharper shiv
Or burn someome with the molten plastic. My sister was a CO and she was burned by an inmate who melted a spoon.
@@kassidydaughtry5737 What.. but... if they have a heat source, then why wouldn't they just use boiling water (with no fumes and higher heat capacity) to burn people instead of plastic? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be insensitive to your sister; the situation's just confusing.
@@neolexiousneolexian6079 plastic would probably adhere to the skin more, like how some prison attacks use boiling water with sugar
Emmy Back at it again with the Prison Recipes đ
WE couldn't get metal cans in the joint I was at, just pouches. We used the plastic lid from a peanut butter jar, scraped down so as to be somewhat sharp, as a cutting tool.
I'm not a huge fan of SPAM, but I love vienna sausage in my ramen. Also, definitely a boiled egg or two and whatever veggies and aromatics and hot sauce that you have on hand. I don't eat it too often anymore because my stomach is getting a bit sensitive to spice and salt and onions, but it's such a good guilty pleasure meal. And it's a great way to reduce food waste because you can just basically dump anything you need to use up in your fridge into your soup
Em! You're too real for this!!
i wonder if emmy knows who mobb deep is
She knows everybody and everything. She's a young Asian Martha Stewart!
OMG this is so awesome, as someone who suffers from sickle cell I'll definitely be checking this out.
Love your videos. Pls keep it up.
Can I say well done with how professional you are I never even realised you wear a clip on microphone till u went to the frridge
These prison recipes are my favorite for some reason.
xD the sound of the spam hitting the plate "blurg'
Ahhhhhh I love these videos! Also, what grows in your beard?
Love the prison cookbook videos.
Oh and Emmy, speaking of Sriracha (my favorite hot sauce), there is a fantastic documentary on Amazon Prime about the founder of Huy Fong and the history of his sauce. Also, he emphasizes his mission to keep his sauce affordable for all.
So goooood ! âĄ
I love your videos!!!!!!!!
Yay! The Mobb Def cookbook!! So glad you got this after I saw him on Munchies last week. :-)
Wow!Yay! You haven't done one of these in awhile. TY Emmy!đđđ
Love these videos. Also, what grows in your beard?
Jania Green am I reading this right?
xD
+quantum v read the very bottom of the video's description đ
Jania Green whenever I read a weird comment like this I always know it's from the description đ
These are my fav videos
"Don't use the seasoning packet, it's not healthy"
*adds Doritos & Spam*
Love you, Emmy :D
cool.....more recipes from this cookbook. Thanks
Emmy made this was good love your video s been ben watching
That was awesome âșïžâșïžâșïž do moooorreee đđâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Emmy!! my dad has been in and out of prison all of my life, BUT the perk is he makes the best prison ramen that I grew up with ! chili ramen, chili ( from a can, doesn't matter if it has meat or not ), crushed up puff Cheetos ( It acts as the powder cheese from kraft) and diced pickles. Super yummy !! but it's super fattening đ So maybe just a once a year treat ?
I was going to suggest the One Chip Challenge, but I realized you're just about the only CZcamsr I don't want to see in that much pain. Still lovin' the channel. Always entertaining.
"Umm..." *burps* "we'll just leave it at that" LMAOOO EMMY YOU CRACK ME UP
Hey Emmy. Love these prison food videos. BTW what grows in your beard?
I loved him and his music with Mob Deep !! I ease a quick video of him making a dish out of the book. Please make another recipe from his book
I was searching for a prison food video to send to a friend as a joke (dark humor) and ran across this. Holy cats, Emmy you have such a beautiful face. Just had to say that.
Emmy I love your channelâ€
đ
keep the prison ramen coming! I loved the last one!
i love the ending lol
I worked in an Alabama County Jail for several years. This was referred to as a "Chi-Chi" or a "Spread" by the inmates...instead of being cooked in a microwave, the ingredients were usually placed in a shopping/garbage/ziplock bag with hot water and let simmer under a blanket or foam mattress for 30 minutes or so.
We (jail staff) generally turned a blind eye to this. I always felt the food supply in US jails should be better. The sheriffs got to keep any unspent dietary money and spend it on other things (like re-election) so, inmates eat the cheapest food possible. That's the case in the South, anyway. I shouldn't wonder it's the same across the country.
*puts doritos in*
"It does taste like doritos!"
đ
Hi Emmy I love you and you are my favorite youtuber
Prisoners arenât even allowed canned items any longer due to the lids being used as weapons (heard that from After Prison Show) so everything comes in pouches now. Apparently inmates use their ID card to cut ingredients if not having access to a plastic knife (stolen from the kitchen), or a shank to cut things with
Have you done a " eats Minnesota" episode? I'm from Minnesota and would love to see it. You can do the snacks like you usually do, but try some old recipes like lutefisk and Swedish meatballs â€ïžïžđ
prison recipes are my favorite!!!
What grows in your beard? These prison recipes are always so interesting Emmy!
These are my favorite videos
I would like to see more cooking from that cook book!
This recipe appears to taste exactly how it looks. Like moist unflavored ramen noodles, Dorito crumbs, and canned uncooked spam. The real savior and main flavor of the meal, being the hot sauces.
I love these prison recipes!!
