Don’t buy the Rode Wireless Go II until you watch this

There is a known issue with the Rode Wireless Go II microphone batteries where the battery percentage will suddenly drop from 100% to a lesser value, 77% in my case.
Rode have been replacing any units with this issue if they are under warranty, but if you are outside of the warranty period, is it a big problem.

I have issues with my batteries since day one only when I update the firmware to record within. When I reset them to non internal recording, it gives me a proper charge and works normally.

Thanks, the in camera audio works better when I'm looking at the camera rather than it being on my 'top down' rig. No plans to release the full 7 hours of the boring flashing lights video 😂

The ZGCINE from what I see doesn't shut off when the mic's are charged. It just keeps cooking.
Yet with the wireless go first generation, it switches off when full. Go figure.
I don't know if the official Rode charge case is any different.
I have moved to the DJI Mic's because the Rode are simply too unreliable.

I've never noticed what the ZGCine charger does, but as you can tell from the video, I tend to neglect the Rode batteries, so I probably wouldn't notice! No idea about the Rode charge case as I don't have one (I don't think it was available when I bought the ZGCine).
How are you finding the DJI Mics? Did you go for the Mic 1 or Mic 2?

@@JezHarper I have both 1 and 2.
They are fine depending on the use.
The mic 2 is mainly for the pocket 3 and seems to be going well now.
I was having problems with a conflict with the 2.4ghz band but have sorted that out.
My use is live streaming only so they all have their problems. The mic 2 has very good audio quality.
