Like a cult, one leaving gives others the inspiration to leave and do their own thing. Kourtney is pressured to stay. Ultimately she has free will but those parts of her that really want her family keep her there enduring and complaining, trying to change everyone else. I think the money helps Kourt give herself excuses on why she should stay but it doesnt come off as her driving force
