What are ways you save money?

Charlotte Mason methods, all you really need are books, paper, and pencils. Rummage sales, thrift stores, library sales, and garage sales are the best places to find books for cheap. There are also hundreds of amazing books in the public domain now that are completely free to download and print. I started as a Charlotte Mason style homeschooler out of necessity. I literally had no money for homeschooling. My husband was between jobs. Even now that we have some money for traditional curriculum, I still prefer those older public domain school books.

My cousins and I all swap kids clothes and shoes as our kids outgrow it. My youngest is wearing clothes that have gone through 5 kids over the last 10-15 years. We also have a Facebook group for family, friends, and neighbors to swap books. We've saved so much money on fun reading by swapping books with friends.

I buy as much curriculum thru ebay as possible! Lol also, there are several other homeschool moms in my town that have older kids, so they let me borrow some of the books (mainly science or history) that their kids aren't using that year. Also knowing that you don't have to do every single subject every year, or all of the add ons. Lol honestly, how much stuff do we adults remember from school...and how many times have we thought, "man, I wish I knew who the 9th president was! If only I had memorized them all in school!" 🤷‍♀️. Just saying...i think a lot of times we focus way too much in book learning, and not enough on real life. (I'm not pointing this at Mandy at all! I'm simply sharing my viewpoints.)

Great tips, Mandy! I have 2 boys about 4 years behind yours, and your channel has really helped me as I think about the coming years. I would be interested in hearing more about what meals you fix on a regular... penny pinching... how you keep your boys full lol
Thank you so much for your channel! I've learned a lot from you.

I make my own laundry soap: shred up 1 bar if Zote soap and add about 2 cups super washing soda and 1 cup Borax. 1/4 cup per load. It has save my family of 6 hundreds of dollars ❤
Also, me and my daughters use cloth wipes we call "family cloth" instead of toilet paper but just for #1! It has saved so much money 💰 I wash them once a week and sanitize just with my homemade laundry soap... it is a game changer.

Can you do a video on all the Kindle Unlimited reads that you and your kids like? We're Bible believing Christians and I'm strict about what we all read, watch, listen to etc. so I trust your opinion!

I would suggest following me on Goodreads. The KU books change all the time, so it's hard to make a list of them. By the time you read it, the KU books may not be available any longer.
      Here's my Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/user/show/5821937-mandy

Thank you. I’ll have to give that a try. My Kindle has just been sitting in my drawer but there are great deals on books I can be reading.

Thank you! I love your videos! Can you get digital library books (ex. hoopla, libby) on your Kindle ebook? No worries if you don't know. 😊

The library, free videos online, used bookstores, homeschool conferences with curriculum sales (many you can just get a cheaper shopping pass if you don't want the full conference).
I've tried to sell my books online and it has crashed and burned. It costs way to much as far as shipping goes and I don't make any money back. I just save it for an in-person sale somewhere. Do you have a step-by-step online selling guide?
