OMy Gosh!! I, literally, laughed out loud!!! Add up allllllllll the pages in allllllll those books.....now.....was there anything on any of those pages that taught a child how to be as extremely creative as your son who thought up a new way to use books.....as skates!!! I’m a retired teacher and THAT is what I miss the most. Children are so much fun and so naturally creative. Hold onto those beautiful, precious years and enjoy every second. It passes by too quickly.

This brought me down memory lane. I homeschooled for 20 years my seven children ( 5 boys and 2 girls ) i just joined the homeschool world again this year as we decided to HS my oldest daughter for her junior and senior year. My youngest daughter is going to a classical education christian school but we may decide to HS her next year. Enjoy the journey! my first 5 kids were boys and they have such a strong bond and relationship and I attribute it all to them being home together . Even at 53 I enjoy watching all your content. You remind me of a younger me ..lol your doing great momma! You wont regret all the time you spend with those precious boys !

Love the video Andrea, this is my first year homeschooling my children. I have a K5 as well and a 9th grader, we homeschool in the dining room as well, since our breakfast nook is a little tighter in space. We have made it work so far, I also keep my son’s workbooks in a buffet table in our living room. God had been tugging at my heart to homeschool since a few years back and this year I finally went through with it. There were so many unknown to me and that what holding me back to do it, but I am immensely grateful to the Lord that He never leaves us and guides us to do best for our children. It’s honestly the best decision that we have made, thanks again for sharing part of your life with us. God bless you💓💕

I homeschooled my kids too when my daughter started third grade and my oldest son was starting kindergarten. I taught them both the third grade science, history and health (from A Beka). It was amazing to me that my kindergarten learned everything my third grader did. My youngest was two. He would sometimes answer the questions I asked which was just shocking as I didn't know he was paying any attention. It is such a blessing to homeschool and really stay so involved in your kids lives! My youngest is now in his second year of college. The years go by so fast! Seeing all of the A Beka books brought back so many memories. Thank you for sharing! God bless you!

In your cabinet in the kitchen, if you had pull out shelves installed - center & bottom, you would have more room & you would love them - you get a little less space on the sides but then you get a full shelf instead of the half shelf - I put them in every cabinet I could & it’s so nice - the reason you need both is that if you do the pull out only in the center, you can’t really get to things in the back of the bottom of the cabinet - just a thought - more storage is always great, IMO !

If your little guy receives good instruction five days a week, let him have a couple of days off to just be a kid. You want him to be well rounded and sociable, with many interests...not a seven days of the week academic.

Great video and I’m sure it provided a lot of encouragement as well as some information to other moms out there who may perhaps might be struggling with even how to begin or revamp their home school routine and space. I have a feeling that you might be getting more request to incorporate this type of videos along with what you are currently doing which I think would be a great idea. Bless your week Andrea .🍁🍂🍂🍁🍁

Hello Andrea, Home schooling is so great. Your son's are not divided amongst themselves and they learn how it feels to be raised all united, a homely environment. Caring for one another as it should be.

This video was so fruitful for me! I’m a first year homeschooler and also using my kitchen as our “homeschool room”. The binder system is GENIUS! I haven’t seen anything like that and I’ve been on a quest to find a more simple approach! Managing all the school stuff is overwhelming me so much in my tiny home. I’m going to try the binder! 😊 thank you so much! I stinkin love your channel and blog (and course) so much! Have a beautiful day!

So nice to see your homeschool plans this year. It brings back fond memories for me as I homeschooled all four kids - "kindergarten to Calculus" They have flown our nest now and we have 13 granchildren. But, watching your video reminds me of how I long for and miss the new year excitement, new books, and great read alouds. I miss my "littte" kids! But they are gone now and that is ok. BTW We happen to read a number of books that took us on adventures around the world, "All in one Boat", "Still in One Boat", "Around the World In Eighty Days", and several more! I did not realize for some years that our read aloud times probably inspired one of my kids to literally travel the world for years on end - with 5 kids in tow!! They have been to over 30 countries and every continent.(until Covid) Another one of my grown children traveled to India, Nepal, Scotland and Japan.
Thanks, Andrea, for the trip down memory lane! You are doing a great job!!
