- I have witnessed the difference taking a minimal approach to homeschool (and life) has made on my family and I wanted to share with you today a bit of a break down in the steps I took right at the beginning of my journey to a minimal homeschool which really simplified homeschooling as a whole!

My preteen kids can write me a 5 paragraph essay about why they should keep every single item, toy, plush, lego, doll, box, etc….. they are unconsciously practicing maximizing and I let go of all that is mine and it wasn’t enough because they have only filled the void with more of their precious lifelong items.
What can I do? I can’t stand the clutter and I feel like I am clutter because it’s everywhere.
I understand how this feels and it sounds so easy when talking about decluttering but the reality is it’s hard to let go of our things, this is especially true for our kids. Despite the fact they may never use these items! I recommend you go check out Clutterbug on CZcams. She has some great approaches I’ve implemented with my kids and it’s incredibly helpful. Good luck!
