I can’t believe the real estate was not happy with the clean. You had that place looking spotless. What on earth do they want?!
Yeah. It was pretty demoralising and soul destroying. It was the number one cause of my depressive slump. It didn’t need to be so ugly and tense. Communication and respect is key. But it was lacking from the other party.

Mel, the house looked great and remember that NO maintenance was done in the 12 years you lived there. You looked after it more than they did. They just wanted to keep the deposit. It's lovely to see you again, I know how stressful it is with working and moving and mum duties, so much work for one lady. ❤ sending you love and hugs ❤

Hold your head up high, that house was absolutely fine. Real estate agents will pick on anything and nothing in our experience. Also the tooth fairy forgets to visit here now and then too! ❤

Morning Mel. You are doing great... my bestie is moving soon and her name is Mel too. My friends and I are going in after she moves her stuff (not a lot as she and her kids lost their rental after 10 yrs due to covid price increases and she lived in a shed for 12 months) and we are going to do a yard and house clean.
I'm blessed I got my own forever place as covid started due to a TPD payout..
I also met a new friend who might need to move soon and we are going in to help her out as well as she is completely alone.
Moving is traumatic.
As a side note, as a person with multiple myeloma and severe nerve damage I've decided to go carnivore. I'm 2.5 weeks in and I've got more energy than ever, and my severe back and knee pain is 95% gone! 😮 and I've lost 5kg... worth listening to some podcasts to see if it can help you. I would never have believed it if I didn't try it myself.
So happy to see you upload again knowing how you’ve been struggling with mental health but I also hope you know that you’re amazing.. you got this Mel even if it feels you don’t , YOU DO!!

When we moved into our new home my husband mixed up some bags. He brought all the bags of rubbish with us and put the bags with all our bedding in the trash 🤦♀️
Moving is the worst, but you did it.

I’ve moved 16 times in 15 years, it’s huge but every time I do, I do the biggest declutters! It’s so freeing but doesn’t feel it at first. It takes months to settle but once you do, everything balances again xxx

We never really know how much we have until we go to move it. Very tiring work when you don't have a lot of help & your working. Hope living where you are now is enjoyable. We have been cleaning out house for at least a year hoping to downsize to a smaller house since we just retired. Where does all our stuff come from lol

Omg I’m so glad I have decluttered my house and I’m moving into a motor home, my house has sold and have four weeks till settlement.
Two rooms empty and cleaned . Everything that I’m taking is ready to move into the van the furniture that is left is staying for new owners only the fridge and washer is going on settlement day to brother .

I’m actually shocked. Had to go back and rewatch that part of the video! Given the amount problems you reported and lack of maintenance from owner/realestate that seems very unreasonable.
@@hen02pha Yeah. I wanted to fight her every step of the way - but it was just too much stress in the end - they know they have the upper hand and I don’t know how they sleep at night being that vindictive and petty. I hope karma gets them.

We also spell walk also the word coming as our little dog goes mental barking thinking we are having visitors. Treat,dinner and out are another two we have to be careful with,she knows everything we’re talking about.
We remember when we moved in 2019, aches and pains too but I only 18months before had sleeve operation and was 139kg, 2019, down to 78kgs.
Also moving is stressful too.
Now we may 2024 have 1 more year here as a minster might want to use (the manse) and use the house 😮😢
I have started trying to walk our dog further than I used to, and also received a weighted vest to wear as well. Fingers crossed that will help stamina some too.

Mel, make sure you check your condition report on the old house. You are not liable for any damage that was already there and you are not or normal wear and tear. You can also apply to have the bond refunded yourself then they have a set amount of days to dispute it and they have to provide evidence that you've left the bouse in a bad state.
Yeah. We did and it went to mediation - but in the end we just let them have the bond in order to be done and dusted with them. It was a very sad and ugly way to end it all
So awful to hear. One of our landlords blackmailed us that we had to pay him half the bond in cash or he wouldn’t release it. Like you we could have fought it but it was all just too much so we let it go.

Before we moved into house 2019, the church cleaned whole house and it cost them about $5000!!😮

Oh.. also you are a long term rental. Did you know you can claim your bond first? Oh I am so upset I didn't tell you this earlier. Then the real estate needs to prove you owe rather than you proving you don't which is harder.
A long term tenancy, I bet they never painted or replaced old appliances or fans ect.... they cannot deduct for a lot of stuff. Worn carpets and paint are part of life..
Yeah I did. It ended up at mediation. We just gave them all the bond in the end because they just kept sending invoices. I didn’t have the energy to fight. It has been a complete nightmare.

As your children grow they are less dependent, demanding,and are more self reliant and sufficient..you’ll be looking for things to do to fill the hours that are lacking at the minute.
