- Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney did not at all come out swinging on Monday, deciding to stick to protocols and not say anything that would warrant a fine from the National Hockey League. Sad, because the club should have legit gripes over how the Sam Bennett / Brad Marchand incident was handled, and the goaltender interference non-call on Bennett's Game 4 tying goal.
His focus is on the Bruins getting back in the series, and rightfully so, but that will be a difficult task. Locked on Boston Bruins host Ian McLaren offers up a few ways the Bruins can do so, echoing Pat Maroon, who was out there saying nobody on the Florida Panthers wants to fight him, and the Bruins need to get more shots on net.

From a convincing game 1 shellacking to 3 half-hearted efforts. That, along with no puck luck and lopsided officiating has put the B's up against a wall. I've always said that a team shouldn't rely on a call going one way or another to determine the outcome, but this series has been the worst I've ever witnessed.

With that statement, Sweeney DOES need to retire/quit/step aside as he no longer holds the best interests of the Boston Bruins’ team at the forefront of his actions.
