The Bruins should consider themselves lucky to get a late first round pick for a 31 year old Linus Ulmark with only one year left in his contract. Goalies are not worth much of anything on the trade market.

Sure trade Ullmark if it really brings some quality goal scoring or a solid center - preferably a 1C, but that's a tall take in this market. I'm not hooked on keeping DeBrusk, unless it's at a team friendly contract - He is essentially hired on to be a goal scorer, but he doesn't do that reliably. He does bring some good defensive play and energy and all of that, but that's not the argument to get him and he's currently not fulfilling that argument. He need to be more reliable with goal scoring. I see no use of Bertuzzi.

Save your big money for a big player on the left wing for David. All I care about. Goodbye to Debrusk goodbye Ulmark and whatever it takes. No Tyler bertuzzi

Lindholm dipped in the regular season sure. But I think he made all of that money back in the playoffs. He's going to get longterm in the 8m + area for sure. He might get as much as 10m from a non contender. As far as him not being a line driving center I disagree. I think he can drive a line offensively. I think he proved that. He can play up and down a lineup and his production will be reflective of the talent he's paired with. He's not a center who makes everyone around him worlds better but that's not really what we need. We have several good wingers. What we need is someone who can drive possession. Who can win faceoffs in the playoffs. Who can keep the puck in the attacking zone to spell our d and get our cycle game going.

Anyone with a career like his, that had the best experience with this team so far, absolutely needs to stick around. Pay him 2 million - 3 million and I'm perfectly fine with that. If Ullmark wants to stay and is willing to take a reduced paycheck, then by all means, friggin keep Ullmark around. To sum up my comments... Keep DeBrusk, Maroon, Ullmark if the price is right. Keep Heinen for 2 million. Zacha needs to go though. He really really needs to go. He's the most useless forward and hes part of the problem.

People don't seem to realize that we have a really good team here and it will not take much to make this team into a real contender. We don't need to go scorched Earth with this team. We need a elite 1-C (Poitras is an unknown. He could turn out to be too small and vulnerable) and that alone will be a drastic improvement. It's pretty sad that so many fans don't know enough about hockey to know that Jake DeBrusk is a fantastic player and he should stay around for 6 million. There's no way we let him go. You're right he should stay. He was the best player in the playoffs this year, and was excellent last year as well. He's fast, he's smart, he sees plays develop. He works really hard when he's needed. And when he's needed the most, in the playoffs, he delivers in spades.

Agree with the defense let Grz and Forby walk, keep Shatty if you can for cheap or find a comparable. On offense I let DeBrusk walk, he wants too much for what he can do and we don’t have it. Heinen used to irk me but this go round I like him… $2M AAV is enough tho, I’d try to go $1.5, $2, $2.5 over the 3 years to get it to $2. JVR I’d wait and see if you can get him for cheap at the end if not find a comparable. Richard and Boqvist I’d like to give another go. If you can get the. Cheap enough. Maroon is going to have to wait to see what we have left in cap… I think their focus this year is a 1C that can do enough for the right money, Elias Lindholm. Use the young guys and maybe some cheap solutions so save as much cap as you can to go after a big dog like Draisaitl next year. As for needing cap this year everyone always talks about Ullmark… I’d say free up Hampus Lindholm and get a cheaper D he’s fizzled out to me.
