Glad you installed, tried and shared Aminimiga. It's a great tool ain't it... combining that with the 1.1.1 flash update of Amiga Mini which allows ADF native support, even with it handling m3u playlists for multi disks, means this Amiga Mini is near darn perfect. Especially when using a disk manager tool such as Rufus to allow usb format of FAT32 extended, meaning you can go bigger than 32gb usb (I have 125gb in my mini currently 😃)... can't seem to do links on chat here, but currently converting all the CD32 games to work properly and also have converted the 17bit entire pd library and pd Assassin disks.. oh and Amiga Power coverdisks, which is a blast to play through. Also did a curated PD game list of my personal fav PD games. Love these games are so accessible again to everyone 😍
Anyway keep up the great work and thanks again for all your hard work and efforts, really enjoy.
Thanks man. I just enjoy playing the games honestly. I’ve spent SOOOO much money on Doom etc over the years and now, in 2022, we can STILL enjoy these games on new hardware. Blows my mind.

@@TheGebs24 always happy to help. For me I am less interested in Doom on Amiga mini... as have a pc to run all that... but having workbench chock full of apps like Amos, Deluxe paint and all the games, not to mention music demos has me so happy right now. 😍😍

I have funny memories with Heretic as multiplayer option. You can levitate to the up and then use turn to chicken magic..
I've been following your channel awhile. Great retro content. I used to have Amigas when I was young, then moved to PCs the same as most people. These days I'm dreaming of having a REAL Amiga again, even though things like emulators and Mister work great!

The stuntcar racer glitches are due to an incorrect configuration. No updates to the mini will help that, and theyre not needed if using a correctly configured system.

Going to be interesting to see how the a500 Maxi turns out, I have all the real hardware still here but never in my wildest dreams would I ever see Doom and old Duke 3d running on an amiga :-) they were the reason I moved to PC's back in the day, but I kept all my commodore gear, never gonna give them up :-) x
drives bigger than 32gb can be used , their is formatting software than can format larger drive in fat32 but the limitation is that any file but on the drive can be a max of 4gb but for this that not a problem. i used Aomei partion assistant do do this

I had a weird thing happen when I was copying it to the usb drive. It said a file was no longer there. Weird. I deleted the directory that file was in and copied the directory over again.
Not certain what happened. I may scan my hard drive to make sure there are no bad sectors or something.
What is great about it is that you have the lha versions of the games so there are no floppy files. Also you have a better interface to look up the games. You can actually do a search.

Pro tip: You can install this on anything that runs a variant of UAE e.g. Windows if you don't have an Amiga Mini. Download, extract and just change the directories in the config and perhaps the odd tweak here and there. Simples.

I never though these games were ever converted for the Amiga..i had a a500 n a1200..
I only clicked on this video for the novelty of a fairly good looking british chick talking about how to do something insanely nerdy
I think Workbench crashed on me. Also, I could only get the optimized one to load. The State of the Art demo had some slowdown.
I think what happened was that I pushed the menu button when I selected the file. That overwrites the settings for the workbench software.
I tried aminimiga and downloaded it and comes with error on drive? Do I need compact keyboard and mouse to make the drive work for workbench?
No. You should have a keyboard and mouse, but it's not needed to start AMiNIMiga. Maybe something went wrong when extracting or while downloading.
@@eekilla I followed the instructions and 1st time I did it I remember I didn't extract, tried 2nd time for extracting it had few errors on report and am clueless how to make it work

@@vincentlagden3608 Hmm my comment disapeard, looks like I didn't send it. So once more: There are literaly thousands and thousands of small files in there, the Windows unzipper has problems with that. Unzip it to your HDD using Winrar or 7Zip. When it's done, copy it to your Fat32 formated USB Stick. Try to format it using the App Rufus (including the MBR option). Attention, depending on your Computers speed and how fast your USB Stick is, copying it to the stick can be very fast or it can take several hours. My fastest was about 4 hours and the longest was 16 hours. If you still have trouble go to the discord which is linked on the AMiNIMiga homepage.
You can actually stick it on a 16GB stick. The whole thing is like 10GB unzipped. I may put it on a 32GB later for extra space.

It makes me laugh that you got doom,quake and heretic. to work on an Amiga 500 mini
A few tips.... use RTG instead of AGA.
Its muuuch faster for workbench, let's you use millions of colors, and 3d games will be much, much faster.
Additionally, don't use hard files, or if you do use pfs3 instead of ffs for the file system. Ideally use directory based portions. This is about 10x as fast or more and also has the advantage of you being able to just copy files straight to the usb stick and have them show up under AmigaOS.
The setup you're currently using is very gimped vs what can be achieved. It only scratches the surface of what can be done on the a500 mini.
Feel free to ask if you want to configure the system properly.

The RTG Version is in the works and this Version of AMiNIMiga doesn't use hardfiles

I'd assumed you'd finally bothered to learn to use the a500mini properly, not just downloaded pirated content.
"Jimmy" isn't a developer. He's just a pirate. Nothing he's done is his work, he's just put other people hard work together very poorly.
Little surprised to see you promoting piracy to be honest.

I'd rather say he has put together a fantastic Workbench. For all of those who can't do it by themself. I don't see how this is different from other workbench builds out here for several systems. There is shareware and abandoned software in there.
