近所に栴檀の木が自生して居るのが多くカラスが好んで実を食べて電柱の元に糞が落ち発芽するので成長が早く放っておくと直ぐに大木に為ってしまいます。木目が綺麗で年輪のコントラストが良いですね。昔は近くに直径2m越えの大木が有り夏はクマゼミが集まり朝から大合唱が聞こえて来ました。

いつも見ています。木によって当然木目は違いますし、同じ種類の木でも木目が違いますね。それを観るのが楽しいです。
今は築50年の賃貸物件に住んでいますが、天井も、トイレの戸も木でできています。ちゃんと木目が見えますね。素敵です！！！

Beautiful The grain on the left reminds me of older Japanese paintings.The grain on the right reminds me of mountain roads, or rice terraces.

事前に金属探知機で釘や金属の有無を調べないと、鋸刃の寿命が短くなってしまって大変ですね
最近、とても敏感な金属探知機がありますよ。

We do not sharpen bandsaws ourselves. I ask a professional craftsman.
How is the Chinaberry for warping/splitting, cracking as it dries?

Although it may crack, it is a relatively gentle material.
This is a Mom & Pop sawmill that should be shut down for their own personal safety. I have seen idiot mistakes before, but these two, especially Mom, are the two most self-dangerous sawyers that I have ever seen, bar none, period !!!
