I'm surprised to see no one has mentioned the respectable moustache this gentleman has. It's incredibly hard to focus on the video when there is someone with such a majestic moustache.
You can not open a door without such a moustache, the balance would be all wrong
Fortunately for me, I possess not only a moustache but a full beard, and I can attest that facial hair is indeed an important asset in the complicated process of door-opening.
Agreed. Vintage porn ready.

Fair point well taken, This video is one of them that keeps on teaching, for instance, I no longer watch it without due respect to the forgotten `Tash` workers involved in the making of this invaluable PSA
This was an incredible performance! So agile! Such smooth movement! I’m just in awe! That leg kick and spin was just….wow!!! I’m in tears!
I too was particularly impressed by that half turn/ twist as he went through. It's the way he makes it look easy that tells you he is a true master of doors, a door-sensei, if you will. I'm grateful to have his example inspire me. ❤❤❤

*"Door Opening Connoisseur"*
What really intrigues me is: aren't there door-opening connoisseurs?
Well, I've opened quite a number of doors, if I say so myself.
This shot is riveting
I have owned a subscription to In’N’Out Aficionado for 35 years.
Well I have been practicing it for almost my entire life.
The man's sheer confidence is impressive, you can tell he's a veteran in the arts of door opening.
If it weren't an IKEA door things would be far more complex.
A PhD in Door-ology
I'm sure his confidence springs directly from his macho beard...
His name must be Price or something.
The overaverage door opening enjoyer.
There is actually a benefit to this style of door opening. On cold/windy days, it would minimise the amount of air exchange between the warm interior and the cold exterior, so it actually is useful.
I would add that it is useful to sneak in at parties when one has arrived later than arranged. And... leaving earlier too!
That swoop on the turnaround goes BOOM! He opened the hell out of that door. If my mind was even half that open..
In the man’s defense, he doesn’t just open the door. He also rolls on in.
Opening a door, with style
Plus, he's rocking that black tie.
I agree completely. This technique is so much more than it appears. We're not only learning how to defeat the obstacle of the door, but how to genuinely, "make an entrance." We learn that as we circumvent the solid wall and gain entry into the room or building, we can also demonstrate our absorbing personality by twirling into the room making every set of eyes take note of the compelling figure who has defeated the obstacle. Outstanding! I've been trying this for the last couple days and I've already won a couple of dates with fine-looking young ladies and been offered a few new jobs...and also a promotion from my current one. Try it out!

This educational video was a blessing and a life-saver to me. Just minutes ago, I was quickly hurrying to my living space after paying respects to my great grandfather Alfred Einstein when I ran into a door! A solid yet gorgeous mahogany door that very clearly was made by s true master craftsman with absolute passion. After spending about an hour admiring the work of art, I realized... I had no idea how to open the door! My breath was taken away after witnessing just how complicated and unearthly the contraption was! It truly felt like I was in Mars, as I was not sure how to activate it. After a few more minutes of preparing myself, I held my breath and tried opening it, but when I turned what I believe they call a "doorknob" and slowly pushed it open, I quickly slammed it shut, feeling the entire universe beginning to completely split in half. I searched for a few more hours on how to open a door when I came across this! I was so lucky that I did, and despite only knowing the Finnish words "kuka seia olvet", it was like I spoke this man's language perfectly, and once I performed the action exactly like how the good gentleman did, I made it inside without anyone dying or getting hurt! I truly am indebted to those who contributed to this film, and I am willing to save their lives when it comes to it.

you can clearly see he is a professional at door opening for many years. Maybe even decades. Impressive
Honestly, it's pretty informative. The way I opened doors has always been standing with the center of gravity on both feet. Lean my entire body towards the door. Push with all my might just to buy enough time so I can quickly regain my balance, then squeeze through the door as fast as possible before it closes again. Never thought of using only a single foot before.
Sometimes the door closes before I get to go through, and I either have to open it again or get hit by the door from the side. For doors that don't close, I always end up banging the door on the wall. It's quite annoying.
Next day I'm gonna walk into my office, say "I did a little research" and show off this skill to my colleagues. They gonna applaud so hard!
I wouldn't show it to _every_ random person though, they might steal it and claim the fame for themselves!

The door to a study room with a sign on the door requesting being quiet. I wish this guy had shown it more clearly, his body was pretty much blocking the view to how he did it.
Absolute Madlad
This is still my Comfort video. 10 years I've been watching this on and off when the world feels crazy. Am I ill? 😅
Found this just in time. Been considering a purchase of one of these "doors." But wasn't sure I'd be able to properly work it. They are a bit intimidating, after all. A friend purchased a door and insisted I also get in while they're still cheap before the demand picks up. I think I have the confidence to work one now. My friend promised he would help me, too, in case it takes me a bit to master that step and spin.
Just do it!
This is why you have automatic sliding doors at airports, because you can't expect everyone in the world to know how to manually open a door.
Why people are thinking its hard to open doors?
@@derek-2117 Because it's very hard. I don't understand how people effortlessly do it. Last time I tried, my dick got stuck in the keyhole.
@Khaliil bin Ammar saplaaaaa
I’ve never done so personally myself

_"I fear not the man who has opened a thousand doors, I fear the man that has opened the same door a thousand times"_
*-Steven Seagal*
Legit LOL!
I fully believe in my heart that steven seagal said this
Fear not fat Steven Seagal. Fear the Steven Seagal who has something something a bunch of times, whatever.
This made me full-on belly laugh. Thanks mate :D
This is actually good advice haha. If only for metaphorical doors. People who ignore all other opportunities and distractions, and instead focus on practicing one thing a thousand times... you should be afraid. Elon Musk/Micheal Jordan/etc...
Finally. I've almost lost my faith to find a decent tutorial
*Not kidding but I learned a new skillset today and I'm a changed man from now on. Thank you, Finnish teacher.*
Guys, this is a lot harder than it looks, don’t be fooled and take your time. It may seem cliche to say this but this guy is a seriously trained professional and has probably practiced this thousands of times. Stay safe everyone.
The exceptions were not mentioned. In some cases, knocking is required before opening the door. The other exception is the door fling when catching a cheating spouse in the act.
I live in Japan and I still struggle with their ”sliding door”. I have big issues with it. I tried following the steps in the videos but I just cant seem to figure it out. When I followed the steps from this video and tried looking confident I ended up breaking the door and falling on the floor. Can someone please help me with this issue?
@@raczan162 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@raczan162 Aah you see, the issue lies with the fact this is an instructional video for a Finish made standard door, not a Japanese Sliding door! You may want to look for an instructional tutorial on how to operate a Japanese Sliding door instead.
Here is an excellent video to help you with this my friend: czcams.com/video/dmCwENEwe8c/video.html
@@luka188 Thank you this video was very helpful! I will practice this technique 3 hours daily so I might open it with such grace and profesionalism as the woman in the video.
This man is a true legend - educating people every single day. Less people will be homeless once they watch this video!!
It's true, I myself have been waiting dumbfounded on my front porch for years, just waiting for a lesson like this. Thanks to this man I will sleep easily tonight, for the first time not in fear of circling wolves.
SAME! I use to be so weird now I'm cool 😍🤪😘
Yea I walked up to a house and claimed it so I’m not homeless now also it came with built in personal items and a gun that I used when a stranger walked into my home and then strangers with blue uniforms walked in and I used the gun on them to so I defended my house that I claimed and I just here’d fbi open up anywa-
Lmao
Yes! People don’t realize that so many homeless people have access to homes, they simply cannot figure out how to open the door to get in!
That was hysterical! I literally laughed out loud.🤣😂🤣
THANKYOU! I can finally open my door! very helpful, I have recommended this instructional video to all of my friends
