  • So after dropping off the VFR1200 DCT, it's time for another in the series of Honda bikes, and one I have been looking forward to for ages!
    I love my 600's, despite being 6 foot 3, I still think they are the bikes you can get the most use out of the power on the roads, and having reviewed the GSXR, and R6, it's time for Honda's baby to come under my attention! Just listen to this thing!!

    Thx for posting. Just changed to a Blade after 20 mths with the 6 and I have to say the 6 was up to this point the best sporty bike I've owned. Still accustomed to the Blade but I'm sure it will get there.
    And yes, you do have a nice job ;-)

    Great video's from your 'man on the street' type perspective Luke, keep it up. Come to New Zealand one day for a riding holiday, you'll love it!

    That 600RR looks really good! I love it in the Orange and Black. This bike tends to rule the Irish road racing series that i get to watch on here. I'm not a big fan of the new body as oppossed to the 05 body,but it is a great 600 Supersport. I hope to see you ride a ZX-6R soon.

    Yes mate - I have indeed spent a lot of time on both! R6 much more track focused, while CBR better on roads, less peaky :-)

Ive got a review on here mate of the GSXf1250, and wow, I remember riding it back from suzuki wondering why everyone was going so slow on the motorway, then I realised they werent, I was doing 1*0mph............its that easy to ride fast!!

    don't forget most places will only give you a half hour supervised ride on a bike you are genuinely interested in buying and that's assuming you are 20-26 and capable of paying up to a grand towards any damage, most places tell me i have to be 26 to test ride on my own, and you need a huge dealership to stock a test ride fleet :(

    When do we get to see some nice twisty country roads? :P Have rode my old mans CBR1000rra, wicked bike unbelievably easy to ride, looks like the 600 is the same, really fancy a go on one - bit of a difference to the 33bhp SV650s I have!

    @motorcycleluke You got the balance right, Luke, showing your face is good as it helps get your message across. Keep going as you are please.
    Any chance of showing us what you think of the Bandit 1250? Keen to have your views on that engine... :)

    @Tugar747 You can mount it to the side, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut at speed it pulls your helmet to the side, and can be a pain when you have a dodgy neck like mine bro (I busted playing rugby two years ago)

  • @motorcycleluke
    @motorcycleluke  Před 11 lety

    The first thing is called coasting, dangerous, as your engine is not connected to back wheel, therefore much easier to lock etc and you dont get any engine braking - bad times. Try not to do it, as for the 2nd question, thats called slipping the clutch, great for slides etc, but bad for clutch :-)

  • @motorcycleluke
    @motorcycleluke  Před 11 lety

    but you might want to look at a 1000 or naked, as it will massively cramp you on a supersport

    @ProbabilityWave0 I should have said, if you go to a GOOD dealer, what you describe above is a joke fella, I wouldn't buy a bik eof anyone like that.
    If you are in the Midlands, I can recommmend numerous dealers who ask for nothing like that, and let you test it properly.
