i have to say moving off campus was the best decision ive made during my time here. i really did not like the dorms and mine had black mold in the air vent. i would recommend living off campus if that option is available for you.

Could talk about Greek life? Fraternity and Sorority ? Also, were you involved in it ? How different is Stetson fraternities/sororities from other colleges? Who would you recommend it for? Lastly, Do you think there is a high percentage of students that participate in?
Stetson is the ONLY school in the Eastern U.S. that does not have a legimate, modern professional-level performing arts space. Going to Stetson to major in theater arts is like going to a medical school without a hospital. For some reason the school is getting away without replacing Stover Theater which they tore down in 2010.

@@JoshDennis yeah, i am a music alum and i have been really trying to talk this up with other alumni, faculty and administration most of whom are not aware of how this looks from the outside. This is becoming a real handicap for the university both for students and for prospective students who see that we have no modern performances spaces and go another school - any other school. i mean how can you offer a 4 year theater degree with no theater?? we would never ask a football team to go play at the Deland High School stadium and we would never think that we could recruit players without our own facilities. that stupid welcome center got built instead. Wendy Libby wasn't an arts type. she was a sports type.
@@Skipbo000 Current music student, the new dean has actually been working with the university and there's plans for a performance arts center to be built within the next 5 years! Dr. Garcia is changing a lot of things for the better

Hello i m an international student i want to become a business lawyer , i would like to know if courses provided at stetson would allow me to take the LSAT ? please ?Are there bachelor's degree in law ? In business law more precisely i really need help i got 4 days left to answer . Thanks
Yea! Stetson offers many different laws degrees including business law!
Incoming freshman in the fall, also living in the university hall. I wanted to bring a bookcase to fit all my books but they said I had to have a fire resistant material one, are they strict about stuff like that? Will I get in trouble? Also how’s the air conditioning there, too hot or too cold? Thanks!
Welcome to Stetson! And great questions! As a residential assistant, we aren’t too picky on things like that, however, try to follow housing guidelines the best you can because we do dorm checks a few times a year. As far as air conditioning goes, University Hall is actually a renovated motel. That’s means that each dorm is equipped with its own adjustable air conditioning unit so you can make the temperature as hot or as cold as you’d like. Hoped this helped!
@@JoshDennis oh perfect, was considering buying a fan so that’s nice to hear. Another question of mine was how is orientation? I’ve heard people say it’s very crowded and they give away random shirts so to not bring too many to school. Is that a thing? Nobody has talked about it on CZcams. Thanks :)
@@evaniadiego7015 You’re actually the first person to ask me about orientation. I am actually going to be an orientation leader for the upcoming school year so you may be in my group lol. Orientation is actually broken up over a 5 day period. It’s known as FOCUS week here. It’s is a bit crowded considering that the entire freshman class is in one area, however, you will have the opportunity to meet so many people and start making friendships your very first days on campus, and you’ll be broken up into groups of about 30 so it won’t be too hectic for most of it. As far as gear, you’re going to receive A LOT of Stetson merch while you’re here so make sure to save some space in your closet lol.
@@evaniadiego7015 Also you’re going to register for your first college class called Freshman Seminar. There area variety of options for classes so make sure to choose one that best fits you’ll since you’ll be taking it for the entire semester. You’ll also start this class a week before the rest of your other classes so that you have sometime to get the hang of how college classes work without being overwhelmed.
