    Easy to do and love the music alongside the speed of the footage. Awesome vid and thanks. Getting ready, myself, to secure a 20+ acre parcel and build cordwood-style. Again, thanks!

    Hey, the text in the beginning says that for mortor we need to use: 1 part of lime + 1 part of white cement + 2 parts of sawdust + 3 parts of sand. But in the movie you get 2 parts of sawdust + 3 parts of sand, and something about 1/3 part of white cement + 1 and 2/3 part of lime... My question is: Where is the mistake? How it's supposed to be? The text recipe is wrong, or the movie is wrong? Greetings.

      Follow the text recipe, you can also find it on the internet. The movie is not wrong, just everyone has his own way of doing things. Good luck!

    I'd skip the cement and do it 2 lime, 2 sawdust, three sand and as much water as you find to be right for you. If you make it too wet just fling in some maore sand until it's right. Since we have a little herd of donkeys I'd substitute well rotted donkey dung for the sawdust.

      Uhm, and what do you presume will hold it together, you didn't put any cement in that mix.

    Could I just use type N cement block mortar?

      @integr8er66 Před 3 měsíci

      Dame thought, only I want to use premixed Type N Mortar. All this mixing this that and the other wears me out, I'd much rather pay a little more to have it ready to mix with water and stack

    can it be without white cement

    • @winksongs
      @winksongs Před 5 lety +1

      Yes. Just replace the cement with lime. The mix will take longer to go off but would be a cleaner, greener and healthier option.

      А если намокнет эта глина, поплывёт стена. Так в душманы и из верблюжъева дерма стены строят. Тоже эко. Я пока не строил, но собираюсь. Склоняюсь к смеси раствора, плиточного клея и керамзита. И какой смысл от извести?
