I’m a big fan of farm house on Boone and our oily house, just found you and you are right up there with them . I love how you explain, the nutritional value in the foods you cook and what part of the body it’s good for. Keep up the good work Elizabeth 😉

I was just thinking about making gummies/fruit snacks so I will be making them soon lol, you confirmed it for me! I just finished making a chicken and dumpling soup, which is one of my absolute favs! Maybe a day of meals for busy moms, a video like that!

Right?! It’s sooo good for you but I feel like most of us never make anything with it! It’s one of those mystery vegetables.😄

My husband actually made broccoli my new nickname today, 😊 He's been messing(lovingly) with me because of my changing eating habits. I told him i actually dont really like broccoli...its the stems! The leafy parts i can do..i really want to try the broccoli soup you showed us! The little stems, perfect, and the nice light texture they ended up with in the soup. Good to know about the bone broth also! Thank you!

Both recipes look so delicious!! I am amazed at the amount of organic/grassfed/free range etc food you have access to. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and we can buy some organic foods, but not nearly as many. They are either not available, or the prices are absolutely insane. I also enjoy gardening, but here it is long done for the season. Happy cooking =)

Hey! I made your broccoli chicken salad and it was AMAZING! Thank you for sharing 😁 I used Becky from acre homesteads smashed chicken marinade recipe because it uses similar ingredients (lemon worscheshire etc) and it was 10/10!

The bottle you had your veggie broth in (BTW, I made your recipe, DELICIOUS), is something from Amazon? I usually use a canning jar, but your jar seems to pour much easier and less mess😂

Ahh I’m so glad it was good!! 😀 and yes the jars are Weck and my absolute favorite for liquids for that exact reason. These are them: amzn.to/3RBWJrI

I love your recipes and your gardening posts. I’m thinking about trying to plant my own vegetables but I’m worried that the investment of materials might outweigh the costs of if I just bought the vegetables from the store or farmer’s market in the first place. Do you have any recommendations of what vegetables are good for beginners or how to increase yield to really get my money’s worth?

    • @healthyelizabeth

I know what you mean! My top pick is probably lettuce! It’s extremely easy to grow, even in a window box, you can cut and come again for more, and organic lettuce is usually pretty pricey…maybe start there 🙂
