Thanks so much for the video. I just installed a 7 inch antenna with this as a guide. It is much easier installing the rubber grommet when the antenna bracket has been removed as shown. I had to carefully pry the inner sections of the grommet that hold it in place in order for it to lay flush with the body but once that was done it was easy to get it all back together. I didn't use the same wrench to remove/reinstall the bracket but my ratchet with a 10 inch extender worked perfectly.

Thanks. Ordered the piece through your link. Easy to replace. Only 3 plastic clips removed and 1 bolt. Used a screwdriver with extension to unscrew bolt. 2014 Tundra. Just dropped a 9mm socket and left it at the bottom. Tried to fish it out but it took longer than replacing the base so I left it there.

Thank you, Donny. I used this video as a template to install a new bezel and re-adjust the height of the antenna base on my 2012 Toyota Sienna. Before that, I extracted a broken antenna piece stuck in the base after having watched your video about how to do that using reverse/left-hand drill bits and a center punch. Excellent how-to-videos like yours are the reason I love being a student at "CZcams University." 1000 blessing to you and yours.

That part is good Donny, but I am replacing the entire antenna, and as with your video and others, it doesn't show replacing it through to where the new antenna clips in past the firewall in the car. i see everything you did, but am still confused where to pull the inside apart to clip in the new antenna. My grommet is still in excellent shape even after many years. The truck is a 2007 Tundra Limited and I might add new condition. Just the radio receives zero signals. If you get a chance make one on the entire replacement. Thanks.

Mine broke on my 2015 Tundra in a car wash recently. I didn't know this was a thing, otherwise I would've removed my antenna each time. We didn't replace the antenna for a few weeks. In that time, the remaining thread inside there worked its way back out, enough I could get my finger nails on it to unscrew it. Luckily we didn't have to go through the steps to remove that. Well when my husband put the new antenna on it, we discovered the rubber bezel was split in several places. I just ordered the part! It's on backorder with Toyota btw with no ETA as of 8/30/21. Amazon had it for $12.99 after tax though!

I actually just did this on a 4runner last week, not fun. Don't remove the flare, just take out enough hardware towards the door ,"half the Philip's screws and plastic inserts, lol" I just peeled the wheel liner back enough to get my hand in there, I did have the wheel off also. Lots of bad words also.... lol. Its just one 10 millimeter up there.
