The barretts are not blow back operated. In a blow back, the brass functions as the 'piston' to operate the bolt. These are short recoil operated, and the barrel is moving backwards not to help eject the brass, but to delay the opening of the bolt until pressure is at a safe level. The barrel and the bolt move back together a short (hence "short" recoil) distance allowing the bullet to leave the barrel before the bolt unlocks. Same concept in most modern pistols.

You can get a bolt action .50 cal in the UK legally without much trouble. Not a Semi auto though. You just have to get a firearms license and join a range.

many historical weapons are really hard to find and extremely expensive. If you are interested in them, search for a channel called "forgotten weapons" and you will find what you want

Not long recoil, it's short recoil with a rotating bolt.
lappol1 It is a short recoil action and that is a delayed blowback mechanism
if it was long recoil, the barrel would move the entire length of the case, and then the bolt would lock and the barrel would go foward and at that time the case would extract, in a barret the barrel move just enough for the bolt to rotate and then with the inertia it extract the case, so it's not long recoil

The Barrett M82A1 (I'm not sure if you have an M82A3, but that's only going by the rail, as far as I know the A1 was also sold with that rail) is an anti-material rifle, it isn't accurate enough, anf neither is the .50 BMG round, for precision shooting, it's for EOD and anti material use
The M82A1, and all of them basically, is Long Recoil, hence the differences with the Serbu. I like how they both have three lobe rotating bolts though, and the little hydraulic buffer on the Serbu reminds me of the M16.
Now that I've finishing wasting everyone's time, including my own being a little keyboard armchair general gun expert, I'm off to make more inane comments on other peoples video.
And yet a short list of 17 of the longest confirmed sniper kills lists 9 of those 17 having been done with .50 BMG rounds. 4 of those were done with Barrett rifles, 1 was done with a M2 HMG.
Sniping human targets may not have been the intended purpose of these rifles, but clearly they are still quite good at it.
A lot of those kills where performed with non standard .50 BMG, the regular M33 isn't good enough with a 3 minute of angle grouping, roughly, but there are a lot of better non military and military loadings for it, even with the nice ammo though, you're still looking at about a 1.5 minute of group angle, but all of that depends on conditions in the day. Sure it wasn't designed for it, but it obviously does get used in that role, since you've a big heavy rifle with a scope and a big power bullet*, the accuracy issues tend to prevent its use, the reason there are a good number of M82 kills, is more likely because if you do manage to get a kill, you're gonna wanna make sure it's confirmed because it's not an easy shot, whereas .338 and .308 bolt actions make so many kills, there might be hundreds more kills on that list from those guns, but they might be from special ops or just so run of the mill it isn't worth it.

The return and barrel recoil springs are supposed to be medium heavily greased. That will make the m82 and m107 nearly as quiet as the bfg 50's action. Use milspec gun grease or my favorite, Lucas red and tacky Teflon enhanced grease. This will do away with most all of the "spring scraping" noise as it compressed into it's housing. It will also increase your projectile muzzle velocity as it will take less gas pressure to rack the action, since more gases will be pushing the projectile.
