That’s absurd. The nucks defense has let Silovs out to dry game after game. Demko is great but not a magician. Silovs won’t be the reason we lose.

@@739jep Vancouver had the edge till last game. That's what happens when one team doesn't show up and gets blown out. Doesn't change the fact they've had the edge in most games this series.
I just checked Natural Stat Trick and it looks like the Oilers have the 5v5 edge in scoring chances, high danger chances, expected goals, and goals. But it's all quite close. Vancouver has an unusually high shooting % too, so no one really knows what's going to happen. But Marty has to pick one team to win, so it makes sense to go with the team with the best underlying numbers unless you have reason to believe that there's going to be an unusual shooting % or save %...

Canucks Have won 1 game. Oilers beat themselves 2 games. Series should've ended in 5. Going into game 6 grade A scoring chances were 70-49 for the Oilers. Canucks can't generate any shots. Sivlos stole a couple cases, Skinner crapped the bed a couple games. Oilers have most goals for in these playoffs Vancouver has the least of any team in round 2.
Canucks Have the 2nd most goals against of any team in the Playoffs just behind the avs. Oilers are tied with Dallas. Vancouver's PP is 15% just ahead of the Caps. Oilers best PP at 37%. Vancouver PK 82% Oilers 90%. Vancouver averaged the worst with just 21 shots a game and that is courtesy of Oilers not showing up for game 5 and letting them get 35 shots which is first time in the playoffs they managed more than 25 shots all playoffs. Prior to that they were averaging 19 shots a game this playoffs.
Canucks shouldn't even still be hanging around this series.

So the Canucks lose their best player, Oilers have 5 guys who are top 15 in points, with guys ranking 1,2 and 3 in scoring. Canucks only have one guy in top 15 (that's Boeser who's out), they also lose Demko again. There's absolutely no way the Oil should lose, and if they do, I'd say this would be a bigger failure than the Leafs losing 1st round again, or the Jets losing to the Avs (despite having the best defence, best goalie in the world, lowest goals against, dominating the Avs in the reg season, still allowing 5-6 goals).
