The Canucks will have to play their best game of the post season if they want to win. Not having Boeser is a big loss but you still can’t underestimate the Canucks. They’re a dangerous team and if EDM doesn’t take them seriously they could be in trouble.
If the Oilers of Gm 6 show up ,the show is over for Vancouver. Any other iteration of the Oilers and Vancouver stands a chance .

But honestly, I have no idea how we will make this work… We could give Lekkerimaki a shot, but where do you put him?? Can’t be the top line, it’s too much pressure for a young player. Or maybe they just slot Mikheyev in some random spot and watch him stink it all up… Or they could load the top line with Lindholm, Miller and Pettersson, but then we have no depth for the rest of the line up. Chances are we go the safe route and place Lindholm with Joshua and Garland. Leave Suter with Miller and move Petey up. But then our bottom lines seem bare.. The only idea from above I’d actually like to try (and have wanted to for a while) is the Hoglander, Aman, Karlsson line.

Oiler fan here: Wishing Brock a healthy recovery first of all. If anything this could be an advantage for the Canucks. Nothing like their top guy being out to have the entire team step up immensely. Oilers need to be aware and adapt accordingly and fast!

The 2011 Stanley Cup final saw the top 3 Canucks forwards out with injuries and the top 3 defensemen playing with injuries or out without injuries. Vancouver took a Boston team to 7 games with scoring from the third and fourth lines.

He was our 40 plus goal scorer that year and second line centre for sure he was a top 3 forward, Mikael Samuelsson was the fourth highest forward in terms of points and we were missing Manny Malholtra because of his eye injury. Ok maybe not top 3 but for sure they were top 6 forwards. Christian Ehrhoff was our star defencemen had the highest points that season was playing injured the entire finals or he was out even I don't remember, Our other top two defencemen that year were Alexander Edler, and Dan Hamhuis? All played or were in fact out with injuries. A quick google search will tell you the same.
Let hope for a good clean game less diving on both sides and hope Broke is ok most of all and go OILERS

Not having Boeser is going to be the viable excuse as to why Vancouver couldn't beat the Oilers . ESPN already slotted in the Oilers vs. Dallas, so we'll see if that was an accident or an accurate prediction. It won't matter either way as Dallas is a better team than both . Dallas vs. Florida in the finals . I want to say Dallas in 6 , but the Panthers are no pushovers this year .

Oilers had some awful, awful years, they and their fans paid their dues, and they still sold out all their home games. That's fine...Be content with excuses...Every year is different and injuries are part of the playoffs. Drai was injured last year and was playing on one leg. Oilers didn't make it past the second round. Marchand in Boston was sucker punched, they have a good excuse. Toronto has Marner, they have a good excuse. lol. After a year or so, the excuses fade away and the only thing remembered is who won the cup. Now in saying that. Vancouver hasn't lost yet. A lot of times everyone else steps up and hockey is a funny sport. Sometimes the team that played better that night loses because of flukes and hockey gods made it happen. As an Oiler fan, I don't count the Canucks out one bit. Enjoy the game.
