They're gonna have to nerf Morbid Conjuration. I'd be fine with all manifestations getting squashed a bit. Free stuff for armies that have abundance of casts is just plain silly.
A single manifestation each turn would solve it. Or perhaps a limited number of manifestations on the board, based on points limit or even the amount of regiments.
Disagree, morbid conjurations is out of line but manifestations are needed with how few spells there are. The other lores don't feel nearly as powerful.

It will be real hard to balance morbid conjuration without nerfing it to the ground. Just the fact that it has 4 spells helps it a lot.
@@francoissavard5893 the other manifestations aren't "broken", good doesn't mean broken. And we don't have enough spells and variety of spells for casting factions/ triple casters. Your casters would often have nothing to do without manifestations super limited lores They gave us for now, Those are designed with having access to multiple manifestations you can cast otherwise if nothing is in range for example. If they were to limit manifestations to one a turn, they would need to give an extra spell or two to the actual magic lores themselves/ bring back all those war scroll spells they removed. Magic should be strong. It's not like the majority of the manifestation lores are too powerful. And I'm tired of this BS nonsense that they are something you get for free, You are paying for them with your caster's It's on the enemy to make sure they bring counters. I think of course if you don't take into account that manifestations are a core part of the game now and don't have a way to remove them in your game plan you're not going to do well. You're also not going to do well If you don't have the same for the enemies melee threats.
yeah nighthaunt got a big buff in their faction pack to make up for their poor performance in 2e and 3e at the same time that 4e removed all the core rule isdues that were holding them back (in particular short melee range on 32mm bases and rampamt save stacking making ethereal an outright disadvantage). The result is like rock lee dropping his training weights.
For as much talk there is about the power of manifestations, and some factions being overly strong/weak, it seems everyone agrees that the core rules are really fun and engaging, which seems good for the health of the game longterm. Not needing to massively change out core rules every 6 months is going to be nice for balance!
I have debated with a list for a while Nagash 3 mortis engines 40 zombies 10 skeletons Manifestation lore - morbid It seems extremely op on paper. The manifestation bomb is just another Mortis engine and the list chucks out a crazy amount of mortal wounds..
I still enjoy my stormcast but it feels like the stuff that I've collected isn't really as strong and I don't want to spend more money buying more models when I have so many already

Fly stops them from ending in combat, not moving into combat (which they need to do to trigger their mortal damage abilities). So you are free to move into combat as long as you move back out of combat again at the end of your move.

And then charge them afthe. But considering you put them down outside of 9 when summoned neither of them can do it on the turn they show up
im really annoyed what they've done to gitz all you can run is bounderz spam skragrott or trogs mainly to buff rockgutz was such a diverse army now you are limited to 5 units and buffs to those units
The geniuses at GW decided to nerf absolutely everything about Sylvaneth this edition to punish them for the sin of having a 47% winrate. They're utterly useless compared to before where they were just inconsistent.
Meta doesn’t feel fun at all. Endless spells (the same lore) everywhere and then people just charge with overtuned cavalry. Double turn is arguably worse than before. Hype to play competitively is actually gone quite quickly.
Well you are in the extreme minority. Everyone at our club lovessss it. Needs some faction balance and endless spell nerfs, the games core mechanics are AMAZING.
Ah well it seems ppl have managed to figure out rock now it is time for ppl to figure out paper. That will help when editions start there are always some verry one sided tactics because they are the easist to find.

Nah, just add a rule that says that a caster has to be bound to an endless spell and that you can only be bound to one. Problem solved

The abilities for purple sun and gravetide is what lets them move in/out of combat. They do not have the same restrictions as the core move ability.

Well, Fly stops them from moving into combat. They can still use their unique move to leave

There was 4 round of determining what pod you would be in then 4 rounds of playing in your pod
Everyone who went 4/0 is above everyone else and only some of the 3/1s made it into the top pod
