    You are working so so hard yet you take time to record for us. The old saying, "when it rains it pours," surely applies to you. The Dutch have a reputation for being hard working and stick to their task, no matter what. This is true of your whole family. God be with you all in times of need.

    Wow just Wow. Soldiering on in crazy conditions. A good old fashioned spring blizzard for sure. Has not happened for quite some time. They reported 68 accidents on Saskatchewan highways in one day. I tried going for a drive in the country yesterday just to see how things were but cut it short for two reasons. First you could not see anything the wind was so strong and two the snow drifts on the grid roads were so tall in places they were hitting the bumper and coming over the hood. Fun times on the prairies.

    Hi Jan, look at all that SNOW !! Oh My Gosh. 28 mm of snow on Montreal, would have shut the city down, until the plows cleared the streets. We have not seen snow that deep here in a long time. 15 or 20, yes, but not much more. I'm glad you are on the other side of Ontario, once again. The great snow break !!! Temps here in the next week are going to See Saw from one end to the other. UGH !! lots of rain, but no snow. Hang in there.

    Could you put a drain in each corral’s to drain the water out into another pit to hold that slushy water would that help .
    Indiana didn’t get very much snow In 2023 and we our almost in the middle of April of 0:30 2024 got nice weather then back to almost cold enough wearing coats. We been getting a lot of storms and tornado warnings or watches strong storms a down pouring rain and floods. Never seen weather like this in your videos coming and gone the next few days or so.
    It’s good to see the whole family pitch in working in different area’s of the farm . Like your videos .

    That snow looks not too inviting. Hope it is the last one until next winter for you. When you want to pump out the water where some organic debris will clog up a regular pump you might try a grinder pump like they put in sewage lift systems in homes. They grind up the matter and it might not clog up.Just what you need after having to buy the new tire for the spreader. You are are being tested today, but you came through like a real champ. Great job making sure the straw pack leaning on the fence does not cave it in. Glad for the silver lining on the snow with the needed moisture. Thanks for a great video. You sure take the time to make these videos for us and it a really appreciated.

    Don't be afraid when you know weather is going to get really cold. Take a can of WD40 or any other water displacement product and sprayed into the keyholes on your doors of your tractors. And trucks accept it to help keep that mechanism easier to open when it rains and snows. And freezes

    • @MellowYe77ow
      @MellowYe77ow Před 4 měsíci

      They used hemp straw for the bedding over the last year. Hemp is very tough. (That's why it can be used to make rope) They're worried that it will cause issues with their seeder if they spread a lot of it directly on their fields. They're hoping that it'll break down if they let it compost over a couple of years. The composted manure will make better quality fertilizer as well.
