Good video but consider remaking, this time using your right hand, carefully using the tips of your fingers to turn the knob from underneath. Bit of hand gymnastics but Pam's relies on a menu system so it's vital we see what changes - it's no good revealing the screen whenever you move your hand away from blocking the shot.
Well done!! Thank you for making this and sharing. I like how you took using Pam's from ground zero....here's a system clock to working through all the options in a deep dive. I've barely scratched the surface of my PNW and now I'm ready to go play with some confidence in what I'm doing! Keep up the great work! CHeers!!
Thank you so much for this video. My favorite pams video from all that I have seen so far. So clear, without going ham before explaining what each feature does.
Hey! Im just gonna tell you guys about something I recently found out about, the real color of the OLED display. My only thing about the module I dont like, is the RED oled display. Red makes it hard to see due to red light being a long wavelength in our visual spectre of light. I looked for the "special" versions of PAMs Workout that showcased a different oled color.. but sold out everywhere.. until I stumbled onto seeing the oled without frontplate and its plexiglass piece covering it by chance due to me forgetting unplug power connector. The oled is WHITE! *doeh* Now the module is awesome looking for me, matching the green status leds over the outputs. And me having the black front panel, it just looks more awesome. Just a nice little hax :) Cheers
Now started getting into modular as a DIY project. I have built my case, built my own oscillator and now have just purchased Pam second hand at a good price. Looking forward to getting to grips with its full potential. Amazing and helpful video, very informative. Would like to know how to check and update its firmware if that’s possible. Now trying to work out and make my own patch leads.
Splendid! Thanks a million for the feedback :) You can check the current version of the firmware by powering on with the program knob held down. It'll then show the version. Hope this helps :)
Great video.! would love to see more deep dive videos using the output rotation feature and cv inputs. Can you start/stop the individual channels in sync with the clock via external switches/gates or midi?
I don't know I ended Up with Euclidean circles, seemed like more control, I got several options for clocking, been using Mordax data mostly for it. I got a RCD from 4ms also with the switches. I don't dislike Pamala's, it's just the circles spoke to me.
i mean all those fuctions you showed were in firmeare 204 already. whats the new feat. in 207.... thats my quetion. hermod and pams they might be similar here and there and they work very well together, but at the end of the day pams and hermod are completely different. in my personal opinion, every solid rack should have a pams inside. this module is just indispensable!
Thanks a million! The logic and smooth random were introduced in 205. 206 and 207 were "bug fixes". I had to look it up as well :) busycircuits.com/firmware/alm017/ChangeLog.txt
@@chrissearle23 Wow, just so you can have 7 additional channels? (I assume you'd use one of the PNW1's channels to sync PNW2, or would you keep them unsynced?)
Thanks a million :) I'm using the built-in scope from vcvrack.com/ in combination with an Expert Sleepers ES-9, have a look at czcams.com/video/Eu7Sl13RAYQ/video.html :D

That's awesome! I never knew
Sorry but the hand blocking the view of the screen made it too frustrating to watch. These panels are so small it’s awkward.
No worries, I appreciate the feedback :)

@@TheModularClubhouse yeah i already updated it....fuck i sat on the backseat for while. that smooth random is awesome! thx again!
@@TheNimasan Excellent! Glad to be of help :)
I have one, it’s fantastic, I may add another!
Do you mean an expander or a complete extra PNW?
@@TheModularClubhouse yes, another complete extra PNW

@@TheModularClubhouse Yep, and I already output PNW to both steppy and a clock divider. Crazy I know but what y’a gonna do?
@@chrissearle23 Well then you just need to buy another one :)
Amazing Tutorial Thanks!!
How can you change the Root of scales?
I don't think you can
