Just watched Aquaman. It didn't feel like a superhero movie, it felt like an epic fantasy with a main character that just happens to be a superhero.
Loved both Orm and Manta, and Manta's theme is an earworm.

Unlike in most super hero films where the main protagonist develops into a hero, in this movie the main character was basically already a hero just saving random people. In this movie he was just forced to take up a bigger responsibility and save the whole world for a change.

I don't blame him either. They filmed J.L knowing the truth behind the film and besides the fans, the actors were screwed over on the finished and original cut. I get movies will have a few changes on the fly and what not but Justice League got butt fucked.

@@rideandshine4634 because that's like biting the hand that feeds u. They r under contract, and whilst under contract they aren't really allowed to talk in depth about the scenes and filming. Only whatever the studios allows them to talk about. So he doesnt wanna poke the bear. And i get there. The studio execs were doing alot of shit during the production of JL. Alot of people got screwed over and fired. But jason obviously can't divulge all the nitty gritty

I don't see a other version of Aquaman getting done, James Wan has put the bar in another level. This movie is Epic. I grew up with mornings cartoons of Justice League where Aquaman was just an after thought. I must say James has recreated this hero in the most uniquely and amazing way. FROM THE CAST TO THE STORY TELLING...SPEECHLESS,

agreed. i do like him in the conjuring films but he is really good at being bad as well. He is like Jason Bateman, they can be good characters but they just have something about them that they can just turn on instant asshole face and voice haha

Kingston Gapate he’s Raoul in phantom of the opera and absolutely slays that role. His speaking voice has a very nice tone to it as well.

I've been thinking that they should do that later on. Maybe, Mera leaves at the end of the 2nd or that story is told in the third. I don't know but I want to see it.
It'll be dark and people hate dark but fuck it. It's just interesting.
Again the DCEU shows that their casts are just damn likable. Jason reminds me of The Rock too. Charismatic guy, giant dude that got love for Hawaii for obvious reasons. I'm real interested in the costume talk because in Justice League, they just look badass. I didn't think Mera or Arthur's costumes would look too good If they really pulled from the comics (even if Momoa had short blonde hair) and I was wrong. Something the DCEU does the MCU doesn't, is always go with the comic accurate costumes. Obviously Luke Cage poked fun at that bad 70's costume. Thor's helmet got a nod but say Hawkeye, we're never gonna get his black, purple costume.
They didn't give Superman his trunks but other than that you're right about comic accurate costumes. Thor doesn't wear his helmet, Hawkeye never wore his costume, Scarlet Witch looks dumb (though the comic costume is dumb too to be fair), and Jessica Jones never got her suit either.

Black Adam might say it sometimes repeatedly but the rule should apply to him too, if he says it once, he's dead. I'm hoping when we do get Adam, he's alive for a while. He's too good of a villain to have him be one off or dead so soon. We should see Khandaq. I think The Rock could make a badass villain too.
The Rock was casted in 2014. If Shazam isn't received well or flops, It'll take even longer to see him I'm sure.
And god damn do I love Black Adam's New 52 look. Half hood, half cape like Shazam's New 52/movie look. I just need to see it in live action.
@@drdoom1756 Everyone started to lose the trunks after the New 52. Superman, Batman, Martian Manhunter. I thought about Jessica Jones too but at the moment didn't remember what it looked like. Iron Fist, that probably depends on who you ask. I know people like the Wolverine suit but I think It's hard to see Jackman in it. He was already a foot taller than what he is in the comics. Obviously X-Men 1 had that joke about it and even then the Singer movies felt like they always tried to stray away from the comic look. We had a little bit of it in Apocalpse, I thought it looked fine but we probably won't see it again. I did think Nightcrawler would be the hardest to do with his red and white and I think that was in it.

Geoff Johns run on Aquaman New 52 made me an Aquaman fan, and I can say Patrick Wilson is the best in this movie, he is commanding, manipulative and charismatic. When he wore that New 52 head gear that was straight 🔥🔥🔥 comic book accurate to the fullest. Patrick Wilson is a very underrated actor.

@@lizzzies The legend says that there's an original version of the movie, which is not ruined by Whedon's awkward humor, fake mustache removal and studio cuts. The most important thing, that it could be around 3-4 hours long so it would fix the rushed character introductions and plotholes.
