Ordered it from UK amazon but as being more hobby-mechanic, i needed to use the 4 channels recently and found out that one of the cables included was short-circuited...haven't been able to get in touch with the seller yet, but i probably need to do extra 50eur shopping for new one. Regardless...im very satisfied with the pico quality and i can't wait when im confident enough to buy also the pressure transducer....i think i order it from aeswave this time

    Good presentation. The strength of the 4425 pico in general is the speed of the unit and the software. I see this new kit/scope as an updated for those purchasing for the first time, or upgrading from a very old scope such as a generation 1 Vantage. What additions would justify a purchase if I already own a 4425?

    I had recently purchased the 4425 kit and was not overly happy that the 4425a was released only a few weeks later. I wish Pico had done more to advertise the up coming release both before and maybe even during my purchase. A small investment for a professional garage I am sure but a massive price for an individual car owner looking after their own vehicles. Still a great piece of kit, Pico should be aware if not already that many people including myself have purchased their product due to your extensive use and praise of their automotive scope.

I noticed you said here you had a separate delivery for your leads, did Pico inform you of that after you had purchased the kit? I have contacted the supplier to see what is happening as it says on the site I bought it from that the leads are in the set description. Been 4 days now and no second package has arrived. Is the new resistance lead nothing more than a standard "smart voltage test lead" that is programed to set the scope to an auto range ohm scale ?

    • @scottandresen806
      @scottandresen806 Před 4 lety

      No, to measure resistance you have to supply a known voltage across the circuit. That is why you cannot measure ohms on a live circuit. This test lead has an integrated circuit board so it works the same way a multimeter would, but the scope is doing the measure and conversion to ohms.

    Question when you plug in the voltage test lead and it identifies it. Will it automatically scale the voltage or do ya still have to set up the range. This looks much better than the ats escope. Damn Paul must of used his trump check to buy this thing it’s 3500 on aes

    • @ScannerDanner
      @ScannerDanner  Před 4 lety +1

      The scope will auto scale to the levels it sees. Also, PicoAuto sent me this scope for free and honestly, it was sent as a thank you for all of the scopes they've sold over the years from people who mentioned me as the primary influence on why they bought one. So when I did this video, I didn't have to at all. It was my way to say thank you back to them.

      So say I’d check a charging system it’s charging at 14 volts then all of a sudden shoots up to 30 volts. Would it auto scale? I’m still using the old busted down verus model you had years ago only for a scope not a scanner. Got this on the list after the cardaq plus 3 I have the 2 but need 3 for new Chrysler can channels. I’ve been watching since ya did the injector flow testing on a neon I think it was

    I just bought the older model last week and still waiting on it to come in from ase wave. Do you think the new model would be better? Would I be able to use the smart bnc on my verus edge?

      You cannot use Smart BNC on anything other than the new Pico scope. It uses standard BNC size, but does not twist to lock so the lead would fall out unless you taped it together. You also wouldn't get any of the Smart BNC benefits of probe recognition or powered clamps because those use the 6 pin connection the Verus would not have.
