I came here to see if Mr Subaru is as terrible as I've heard. What I heard was refreshing. Didn't waste time ranting about other people who have wronged him. Didn't go on about some irrational hatred of a particular tool brand. Just good information. I just became a subscriber.
Welcome to the channel! 🙌🏻
You won't be disappointed.
@dangrimes5078 Who told you that cpt…..
Just like to say , your videos are fantastic, it has helped me so much with my Subaru legacy 2011. 2.5 premium. Because of you . last year I did my transmission fluid change. And yesterday 6/13/2023 did my timing belt and water pump. All your videos explain everything step by step . thank you so much. keep up the great job.
Glad to help!
Wow I find it so ironic that I have all three of those items.. I also have the original uactivate and the NEW uactivate which just came in the mail 2days ago..I also still have my original purchase from aeswave..Mastering current probes. Which I bought in 2006. So I've been a customer for quite awhile.. aeswave is a quality company I'm sure you will be pleased with your purchases..as I have
Great tools been using them for years!
In my experience, AES Wave has consistently made quality tools and leads that either filled or enhanced diagnostic tool needs.
Thanks for the great info, like seeing all these new tools
You’re welcome!
Love your videos. Super super helpful and informative
Glad you enjoyed it!
I work in the automotive industry doing root cause and development of electrical systems and use various AES tools. They make some good stuff. Almost as good as your videos that have helped me maintain and repair my Subaru's through the years.
I have had the test lead kit for a couple of years and love it!😃
Love the sensor probe leads.
i miss the tool hauls. thanks for the videos
Bought that test lead kit a few months ago. Love it so far.
Thank you Sir.
Great review
You have a great kit there
Thank you, You are awesome , I like that you showed why and how to use the scope.....still waiting for that discount (lol)
As an electrician this is super sick, very smart to make your life this much easier and safer
Shoutout to Scanner Danner! I had him as an instructor in trade school. Great guy!
Nice tools
Have you ever created a video for DIYer's of basic tools to have for Subaru 2023 Forester Wilderness - perhaps an in general video? Have watched a fair amount of your videos, thank you for the knowledge.
I had something wild happen with diagnosing these issues. I have a 2006 impreza GG9 which uses a EJ204 and for the longest time I was seeing odd stuttering or a power ''loss'' during low RPM, somewhere between the 2000-3000 rpm range. After, no joke, 6 months of diagnozing it, changing every single part bit by bit including the oil valve solenoids, cam and crank position sensors, MAF filter, etc, it turned out that it is the ECU. That, apparently, specifically the 2006-2007 imprezas and outbacks with the EJ204 were having an ECU issue where it developed this sort of ''power hole'' in the low RPMs...
The local Subaru dealer could not help me, but the dude doing chip-tuning in a garage across town just went -yeah, known issue, got you, fam.
Bizarre...
Dammit man, you are hard on my tool budget
Ooops. Lol
I wonder if Eric O. over at South Main Auto influenced your purchase decision? He seems to use the same AES Wave equipment. I agree that you do need this type of diagnostic equipment professionally.
I watch South Main Auto just about as much as ScannerDanner. Although I’ve been watching Paul a lot longer than Eric.
Every decent diagnostician owns this kit. It’s a necessity for checking pin fitment at connectors. AES Wave has been supporting professional technicians for years.
Thanks for ALL you do for Subaru owners!!! Can you suggest a decent OBD diagnostic tool for a DYI'er? Anything out there that will also do TPMS diagnostics?
Coming soon, hang tight
I have seen a couple of videos of off road tests,I believe with turbo Outbacks. At some point the engine would rev, but the car wouldn't move. Can you explain what is happening? Is the transportation a weak link?
If you need a video example, I'll look one up.
Have any thoughts on the mods that overlanders are doing to their Subaru’s: Lift kits, larger tires, etc.? Maybe make a good video topic.
I really could've use a kit like this when I transplanted a Subaru legacy engine and ECM into a VW Vanagon, this is now on my wish list👍
did they end up giving you a discount code? about to place an order
Thanks for the video Robert nicely done with the acquisition of AS Wave. Very nice, take care of yourself and Girlfriend and be Blessed ❤️❤️👍.
You’re welcome!
How's the lawn mowing business going?
Does Subaru still publish maintenance manuals or are they online only. Suggestions for a good maintenance manual other than Subaru if they don't publish one?
@MrSubaru1387 are the round adapters in the terminal test kit for Deutsch terminals by any chance? And is there anything in there for Weatherpack? I can’t make it out from the pictures in their site. Thanks!
I have an 04 XT, I have a misfire on cylinder 2 and am trying to diagnose it. I have brand new plugs all around and brand new coil pack but still have a misfire. Engine is a Subaru direct replacement that has less than 30k on it with new turbo and mls gaskets. Need help
Hi thanks for all your videos. I have a question about my 2014 Forester, a little over 100 K miles. It is using oil , i think excessive. I put my finger in the exhaust muffler out and it is quite oily. Can I try Rotella 15W-40 without wrecking any thing.
Using 5W-30 right now. It is summer here now so temperature is 70 to 85F.
thanks.
I should have said, I am looking for your very good opinion. I would not even consider holding you or anyone responsible for something I do. 😀.
Question I have about a 2013 Subaru EZ36 engine if anyone on here knows the answer. Have owned the car for all of its nearly 10 years, now has nearly 140,000 miles. On a cold start, there is slight engine tapping which disappears in the first minute. I know it is not valve lifters - Subaru does not have them. It could be valve slap however until oil gets there, or it could be a timing belt tensioner that may be failing. Hoping it is a tensioner as I have read at this mileage then tend to fail. Is there anything else it could be I am missing? Thank you.
They also have Phil's probe, which pierces wire with doing minimal damage to the wire.
Phil’s Probe is not part of that kit. The kit has a standard piercing probe.
@@djosbun I didn't say it was part of the kit.
@djosbun I meant aes wave has Phil's probe.
For that price get a Owon oscilloscope.
15th 👊🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
why put a battery in a scope? it's just gonna go dead in a couple years, and you're gonna have wires coming off it while you're using it anyways, so you don't really gain anything by being cordless.
Battery is replaceable. The scope can’t be powered through what it is measuring. 🤦🏻♂️
@@MrSubaru1387 is it a standard size like an 18650 or is it like a proprietary pack?

Just stupid ad. That's not unnecessary tools at all even for shop.
