Different locations in the house, small rewards, some privileges, music while studying and lot of appreciation when your daughter does something well will really help her . Most of all be patient and understand that the lockdown is a difficult time for your child as well. :)
Hello mam, With respect to reading I would like to discuss few points:. My son is 4.5 yrs. I often allow him to choose a story to read. It so happens for almost 10 to 15 days he chooses the same story. Is this fine? In order to expose him to more langauges we have started to read to him Kannada and Hindi stories. Now that he is picking these langauges we notice that when he is conversing with us he tends to mix up the langages. ( i.e while talking in english if he is not getting a word in English he uses Kannada or telugu word) Is this fine? please advise us.
Dear Rashmi, thanks for writing in !! Kids thrive on repetition and it's wonderful to know that your little boy has his favorite books. At story time, allow him to choose a few of his favourites and you choose a few new ones. By this combination you will slowly find that his exposure will build and he will also develop new favorites. Kids can pick up several languages parallely with no confusion in their minds. Don't worry about it. As he grows, his confidence is each language will also increase.
